Starlight Magistics Academy RP

Welcome to the Starlight Magistics Academy! School of teaching newcomers the ways of Stardust Energy!

THIS MAP IS HEAVILY WORK IN PROGRESS AND ONLY HAS 3 AREAS (Fray Valley, Fray Fields WIP, Abyssal Arena). If you want to give ideas or feedback about the map, please consider joining the Map's Official Discord Server!

This map is based on my lore story called "Voisarium", in which I am still developing to this day!

Dependencies and Compatibility

Most of these maps target ATLYSS 72025.a3 and above. MOST mods will stop working if there is a major Atlyss update. I will have to update the map, please do contact me if the mod is broken due to an Atlyss update, as well contact FireNoobsta for any MapLoader related issues.

Overhaul

  • Abyssal Fields has been overhauled to be more mountainous.
  • Abyssal Fields name change to Abyssal Riftlands (name not final).

Changed

  • Crystal of Eternity Dialog Vox is now a mixture of familiar characters. Try it out.
  • Changed a bit of the dialogue.
  • Map version has been changed from 2022.3.62f1 to 2022.3.62f2` to avoid exploitation within the unity application. Atlyss will update to that branch as well. This does not change anything, only behind the scenes.

Overhaul

  • Overhauled Fray Forest area.

Added

  • Dialog for the Crystal of Eternity in Abyssal Fields has been added.

Changed

  • Terrain now uses the Diffuse shader instead of standard. This removes the shiny parts of the terrain which annoyed a few people including me.
  • Particles are now properly configured to not turn bigger when being far away.
  • The grass in Abyssal Fields have been changed to be a bit darker. This was a side affect for making the terrain use the diffuse shader.

  • Optimized all Music and Audio to Preload Audio Data. (This means the audio will be loaded onto memory until it is needed).

Changed

  • Moved the spawnpoint for entering the Abyssal Arena closer to the arena (this is to combat the random respawning to a random spawnpoint. Kiseff please add a way in the spawpoint script to make the game use certain spawnpoints that you list in the mapinstance.
  • Added the statues infront of the Arena
  • Changed the terrain bumps and obstacles. Apparently causing some weird and odd behavior with certain spells and movement.

  • Sand Pit has been overhauled.
  • The MapInstance for Abyssal Arena is made a safe zone (areas for PVP are PVP zones). This is so spectators dont get fucked.
  • Somewhat fixed the gate's collision.

1.3.0 - Sakura! A mage from another world!

  • Fray Valley portion of Fray Fields now have teleporters (WIP).
  • A new NPC. Now uses the World Portal UI and Enchant UI.

  • The new Weather system is now implemented (Void Sweep). With custom particles and sfx.

Fixed

  • Fixed the Cutout Culling from the trees. They now render properly like Atlyss.
  • Organized the Hierarchy in Unity (only in Fields) so anyone with Unity Explorer can properly rest their brains :3
  • Resized the Portal to Fray Valley trigger to match with the size of the portal sprites.
  • Fixed the missing geometry of Water Cooler.
