SlideScaleEX
SlideScale with extra features!
What's new
-
BoneMenu support!
- Mid play session, you can now modify values without exiting VR or using SteamVR/Oculus's virtual desktop environments.
-
Information text
- The new heads-up information text shows you how much you've scaled an object, its total size, and how much it weighs.
-
Controller ghosts work again!
- The original SlideScale had these, but they weren't visible in-game. Controller ghosts show you the real position of your controllers instead of the physics hands of your avatar.
-
Haptic feedback support!
- As you scale objects up or down, you'll feel your controllers vibrate according to how quickly or slowly you scale the object up or down.
-
(Hopefully) full level (and level switching) compatibility!
- The previous SlideScale had to have null checks placed in after the fact so that it wouldn't break when going through scene transitions. This mod hopefully does not have that problem, as it never cropped up in my testing.
P.S. It supports lemon!
How to use
Grab something with the grip buttons, and when both hands are attached, grip with a trigger button and move your hands away to get out of the deadzone. Once your hands are far enough apart, the ghosts and info text will appear.
Why?
I made this mod because RSM's SlideScale didn't meet feature parity with the original BONEWORKS mod. I wanted to rectify that, and justify making changes by adding some features of my own.
In addition to adding features, under the hood I've made improvements that hopefully make the mod easier to add to.
