Cali Coast

BepinEx is not required to play this map, had to list a dependancy.

Use manual download and follow the instructions for this as it will not go into the mods folder. Don't use the mod-manager

Cali Coast is a custom map based initially off the San Francisco map. It has many improvements over the SF map. Enjoy!

Features:

• Based on San Francisco Map using the Barrier Island climate
• Many new bays and bluffs added to the shorelines for more interesting places to build
• More resources added in larger distinct areas rather than scattered in small pockets
• Elevations modified to add interest
• Several lakes with waterfalls that drain into streams that drain to the sea
• Lakes that are ideal for damming, especially the upper one that flows into a lower one. It has a natural bowl that would support a large dam if you dam across the upper waterfall.
• One single highway entering the map along with a narrow coast road that follows the coast back south
• Two other road entrances on north bluffs with a potential to build outlying towns or build bridges to them
• Train line up to the starting tile
• Care taken to ensure existing roads follow the terrain and are cut into it only where necessary
• A couple of long beach areas that could make nice resorts
• Extra wildlife spawning points added
• Limits of map carefully worked to prevent the look of the map or roads just disappearing at the edges when zoomed right out
• Two relatively flat areas perfect for the international airport that don't require initial landscaping
• Loads more trees added

If you think of any more ways this map could be improved please let me know and I'll release a new version at some point in the near future.

How To Install:

• Make sure you have the MapInstaller mod installed and there is nothing else to do other than download this map.
• Alternatively, Unpack and copy to your: %User%\AppData\LocalLow\Colossal Order\Cities Skylines II\Maps, create Maps folder if needed.
• Start new game - select Cali Coast as map.

Enjoy!!

To install "Cali Coast", place the "Maps" folder at the following location:

%UserProfile%\AppData\LocalLow\Colossal Order\Cities Skylines II\

The Map will then be available in the "New Game" menu when restarting Cities Skylines 2. If you can not see the map when selecting new game, restart your game.
