Rebirth
Features
Rebirth Mechanic
- Followers can be reborn, changing their name, appearance, and traits
- First rebirth is free; subsequent rebirths cost Rebirth Tokens (default: 25)
- XP carries over with configurable penalty (default: 20% chance to keep only 50% XP)
- Option to allow old/elderly followers to be reborn (disabled by default - old followers cannot be reborn)
- Unique followers (Webber, Sozo, Ratau, etc.) can retain their original skin and traits when reborn (names are always randomized)
- Their old body stays after rebirth; compost it, eat it, up to you
Token Sources
- Enemy drops: 5% chance, 1-2 tokens per drop (configurable)
- Dungeon chests: 5% chance, 4-7 tokens per chest (configurable)
- Refinery: Craft from 15 bones, takes ~4.3 minutes (configurable)
- Missions: Send followers to collect 15-25 tokens, 50% mission appearance chance (configurable)
- Quests: Go on a quest yourself to collect 15-25 tokens
All values are configurable via the in-game mod settings menu (F1) or the BepInEx config file.
Installation
- Install BepInExPack CultOfTheLamb
- Install COTL API
- Install BepInEx Configuration Manager (for in-game configuration)
- Place the plugin DLLs into your "...\Cult of the Lamb\BepInEx\plugins" folder.
Configuration
- Press F1 in game to open the configuration manager.
- The configuration file can be found in the "...\Cult of the Lamb\BepInEx\config" folder.
Recommendation
While not required, I recommend installing Unity Debugger Assistant for better log files when reporting bugs.
