The Lebel 1886 chambered in 8mm Lebel from Hunt: Showdown! With 8+1+1 functionality

Hoo baby did this one cook my brain to get this working. Turns out the varied combinations of loading methods REALLY adds a lot of complexity to this rifle.

I tried to code this as historically accurate as possible, which includes the ability to load in 8+1+1 configuration.

This rifle is unique in the fact that it has a lifter like a shotgun, and can be effectively ghost loaded like one.

To load, you will need to press down the lifter by pulling the trigger with your hand over the lifter while the bolt is open, and press down with your hand. Once open, you can load 8 rounds + 1 on the lifter and an additional + 1 in the chamber if the lifter is down at this point.

If you load the 9 rounds to fill the magazine plus lifter without loading the + 1 in the chamber, you can also raise the lifter to use that round immediately.

To raise the lifter, you'll need to push the bolt forward a bit, then jerk it back to pop the lifter up. If you take a peek around the bolt you can see down into the lifter area and view if a bullet has popped onto it, indicating the rifle has another round.

There is a lifter lock that can be engaged by pressing the safety button. It will make a click, the lifter switch will move on the right side of the gun, and you will have a single shot rifle with the magazine reserved for when you disengage the lifter lock.

If you want to reload the rifle on the fly, do the following.

Pull the bolt back on live or fired round, ejecting it, then press the lifter down. If the lifter isn't empty, a bullet on the lifter will be pushed back into the magazine and you can top up the mag this way. You'll have to raise the lifter back up and cycle the bolt to rechamber the round.

Rounds are dispensed from the magazine tube when the bolt is rotated down completely, so you can't just push the bolt forward and backward to quickly eject rounds.

LEBEL 1886. (See also, RIFLES) The Lebel 1886, adopted by the French Army, was the first military-issued smokeless powder rifle. It stayed at the forefront of armaments when in 1893 the majority were retrofitted with an improved bolt-action receiver. Smokeless powder was revolutionary, and at the time the Lebel outranged all black powder weapons. The namesake of the rifle was Lieutenant Colonel Nicolas Lebel, who designed the 8mm round. He protested, as in his belief General Tramond who led the team deserved the namesake.

The Lebel sported an eight-round barrel magazine, which was relatively light. Cartridges were brought to the barrel via an elevator. Reloading the magazine was also done through this elevator, making the process relatively slow, especially compared to magazine fed rifles. The cartridges, though full length, were only 8mm. This made them lighter to carry, reduced the recoil, and their power was compensated for by smokeless powder.
