README

Take & Hold Framework

A successor to DevynDaMonster's Take & Hold Tweaker, TNH Framework aims to act as a base for anyone who wants to implement custom content for Hot Dogs, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades's Take & Hold gamemode.

Note

This is the Early Test Release. It should mostly be bug-free, but it has been a long time since I've uploaded a mod to Thunderstore, and I don't want to have v1.0.0 be broken.

What is this?

This is my successor to Take & Hold Tweaker. It originally started as an update to it, making it compatible with Institution and whatnot. It still is largely based upon TNH Tweaker, and I would like to massively thank Devyn for his work on it. I would've simply pushed this out as TNH Tweaker (updated) or whatever, but I have grander ambitions for the future that would ideally do with a rebrand, and for compatibility's sake, it's best if I rebrand now.

Features

As of right now, this mod does the following:

  • Adds support for custom characters, with legacy support for TNH Tweaker and Deli-based custom characters.
  • Features a replacement for Magazine Patcher. No longer will you have crashes due to using too much RAM while loading.
  • Institution support.
  • Bugs I have yet to find.

How do I make a character?

You can follow this guide for the most up-to-date information around custom character creation. Please note however this guide may not be bulletproof so please cross reference with the original TNH Tweaker's resources if anything seems amiss. Framework's own wiki page will take over from both of these resources in due time.

Known issues

  • Crippling laziness.
    • (Editors note: Don't be so hard on yourself, boss)
  • Some things are inconsistent with their vanilla behaviours when playing vanilla characters.
  • Scores are broken. This is semi-unfixable, as I do not know how to implement a new system, and using vanilla scoring is something I cannot do.
