Can be found in Pistol - Revolver.

Officially designated “Pistola a Rotazione, Sistema Bodeo, Modello 1889” and simply known as Bodeo, this revolver was developed to replace the Chamelot-Delvigne Mle 1874 which was quickly being outdated in the rapid advancement of firearm designs. Although built to quality and was one of the most advanced sidearms at the time, it became apparent that the Chamelot revolver was too long, heavy, unsafe, and difficult to service its complex internals.

Although more modern, self-loading pistol designs of Glisenti 1910 and Beretta 1915 were adopted and manufactured alongside it, none of them fully replaced the Bodeo. A number of Italian fabricators would produce about 200,000 Bodeo revolvers until the end of WW1, and some were captured by Austria-Hungary during the war, eventually making their way into the next war in the hands of Nazi Germany who were always short in arms.

The official production of the Bodeo 1889 ended in 1925, with about seven manufacturers known to have produced the revolver. It is one of very few WW1-era firearms that are likely to be safe to fire today if one can find the cartridges.

To use this revolver, you must also download my ammunition pack. This is done in order to allow other modders to use the same rounds without having to create a new one.

Known Issues You May Be Asking

  • The round is not properly zeroed for scopes yet.
  • If you are on an experimental or alpha build of the game, don't be surprised to find something broken. I maintain mods only to be used in stable releases.
