You are one of the few last-standing Charred Cleaner operatives whose objective is to prevent the field of reality from destabilizing. No one knows why the Charred Cleaner company is still operational or was once disbanded, but the purpose remains clear: the reality field is in danger, and you're here to prevent that from happening. The government is doing the same, but, likely, the government isn't performing well, and they do not seem to welcome anyone from interfering, including yourself. With the scavengers causing riots for themselves and the guards, this is a perfect opportunity to sneak in, arm yourself, and do whatever you can to stabilize the reality field.

The weapons provided within you range from rare WW2 weaponry to futuristic firearms. Please expect to be given a gun you may or may not be entirely familiar with, for it is paramount that you must be ready for anything. Whether through sheer luck or a bad omen, the only thing keeping you alive is the knowledge and skill of the firearm you find, whether you like it or not. From a cheap single-action revolver to heavy weaponry and sci-fi weaponry, you have much to be prepared for.

imageingame

Being engaged in a firefight every time during the Take phase is ill-advised, as you are in the crossfire between the scavengers and the government. You are given a Climbing Axe and a watch that grants you temporary invisibility at the start of your operation. It's necessary to avoid specific fights but only engage if you are backed into a corner, for using the given equipment wisely is suggested.

You will be overwhelmed in nearly any direction during both Take and Hold Phases. Scavengers and Guards will not only engage in battle, but they can also fight you too. Create a ruckus and a center of attention; then, you will be put into a constant state of being hunted and fired upon by the two factions. During the Hold Phases, however, the government will recall all the guards and let the scavengers handle themselves and you until it is over, trapping you into a forced survival state against the onslaught of hostile scavengers.

imageingame

Your enemies will NOT stop pouring in during the Take and Hold phases; they will not make you catch a breath until you perish. Be frugal with the tokens and equipment you are given; otherwise, you might end up in a situation where you must forfeit. Taking cover is ALWAYS recommended should you fear that the firearms will suppress you from a distance. Suppose you are confident of your unyielding survival skills, snappy target acquisition, and resource management skills. In that case, you'll have what it takes to finish your final mission, for there is no turning back.

> "Hey, uhh... Captain?"

> "What is it?"

> "Remember the Charred Cleaners?"

> "... Yeah? What about them?"

> "You never told me about these people. What were they?"

> "They were like... I guess counter-terrorist forces that are experts in reality-bending shenanigans."

> "Wait, so, why were they--"

> "Why they were disbanded?"

> "Yeah. It doesn't make sense. Why something--"

> "When we look at the reports of their operations, I wasn't expecting them to operate in an extreme and... repulsive way possible."

> "What do you mean, captain?"

> "They neutralize criminals and terrorists, yes, but when we go around to do the cleaning, we notice that the bodies are... missing."

> "I mean, yeah! We all pop when we run out of mustard and are recalled and recycled!"

> "But... not... like this."

> "What do you mean, captain?"

> "..."

> "Captain?"
