Hotchkiss Revolving Cannon
Invented in 1872 by Benjamin Hotchkiss, the 37mm Hotchkiss Revolving Cannon is a sort of gatling gun on steroids. Accepting 37x94mmR shells (both explosive and canister) from a gravity-fed hopper magazine, the cannon requires one full rotation of its hand crank to fire a shot. It's easier to keep up a consistent rate of fire with an assistant loader or two, but you'll have to make do all by your lonesome. Also includes the Hotchkiss Revolving Handcannon, a Hand Crank Frank-esque man-portable conversion of the cannon!
Controls
- Crank the crank 360 degrees to fire a shot
- Turn the gear under the cannon to adjust the elevation
- Turn the wheel on the left side of the cannon base to adjust the horizontal traverse (there's not much)
- Trigger-click the backplate to toggle the gun shield
- Trigger-click the ladder sight to fold it down
- Grab the "tail" and drag it around like the vanilla cannon to move the gun around
