M1941 Johnson Lightmachine Gun

Wouldn't be extremely confusing to name both weapons the same designation AND name? That's right, this is the other Johnson, some called it the Automatic Rifle, some called it the LMG, some called it complicated. While the US Army already had the BAR, Melvin Johnson wanted to sell it to someone who would want this cool funky LMG, the US Para-Marines did, marines who airdropped and also some commando type units.

The Johnson LMG takes .30-06 and fires from an open bolt, with a unique system similarly to the FG-42, where semi-auto turns it into a quasi-closed bolt system for more accurate shot. The Johnson also has an interesting recipocrating barrel and also like the Johnson Rifle, can be topped up with stripper clips.

It comes with a bipod system, folding rear sight, a hidden rail at the top of the receiver and takes muzzle devices. Do note that the so called "internal magazine" where you can top up additional 5 rounds into the rifle does not work and the semi-auto closed bolt and full-auto open bolt can be finicky.
