Smith & Wesson Model 49 .38 Special Revolver

The Model 49 is a large-frame, double-action revolver produced in the 60s and chambered for .38 Special. The revolver was also dubbed the "Bodyguard", made to be used for special VIP protection or police where a revolver was issued but are afraid of the usual "the hammer snagged against my clothing" deal.

Thus the Bodyguard was born, with a frame made large enough to cover the hammer but yet allows the revolver to be used in both single and double action.

Though with the capacity of only 5 rounds, the revolver was at least lightweight and small enough to be carried in holsters and clothings.

The 49 here has the ability to mount muzzle devices/suppressors, has a small hidden rail at the top and also takes pistol stock.

For giggles, the revolver is also multi-chambered to take .357 Magnum too.
