The K2 variant of the H&K G11 was the final, fully realized iteration of the G11 program, developed near the end of its service life. It retained the rifle's innovative 4.73mm caseless ammunition and rotating breech system while refining reliability, durability, and handling based on lessons learned from earlier G11 models. As the most mature form of the platform, the K2 represents the peak of Heckler & Koch's caseless rifle development before the program was ultimately canceled, making it a rare and historically significant entry in experimental small-arms design. Unlike the K1 variant already in game, it features double magazine storage on top as well as an attachment slot in the grip for laser and bayonet attachments.
