README
Trepang² Bolt Launcher
I don't know what kind of evil spirit the manufacturer's had to harness the power of, but this... thing can fire three bolts. With one. Explosive or Penetrator™? Your pick.
Trepang²'s a really, really good game. Go play it!
Featureset/How to use:
- Pull back the AR-charging-handle-looking-thing -- the breech will open, allowing you to insert the round. You can close it by grabbing the handguard or swinging it upwards.
- Two ammo types, the Explosive and Penetrator™ bolts.
-
- the Explosive bolt fires rapidly as long as you hold down the trigger & blows up about 2 seconds after hitting something.
-
- the Penetrator™ bolt doesn't blow up.
- All four rails accounted for.
Missing features/Known bugs
- No tracers on the Explosive bolts. It's beyond my skill level.
- No front sight. Ehhh.....
- No Monstrum Tactical Compact. Waiting for Danny to make their updated Tarkov optics pack, when that happens it'll become a dependancy.
- No muzzle device. I believe it's a vanilla limitation, but I haven't actually looked into other people's implementations (if any), so if you know how to do that, shoot me a message!
- The centre of mass is way off. Also vanilla limitation....? I think...?
- Something not listed here? @ me.
A bit of background
This is my very first mod (not released first, but made first! This started earlier and took longer than the HV Penetrator), and as such it's bound to be crap.
Hell, when I'm looking at it right now it's pretty crap.
That meaning, you should NOT use this mod for a proper example of how to make a mod with logic that isn't available through scripts so kindly provided by the modders that've been here a while or the game.
Really, if you're curious about how mods are made and want to hear it from someone who's actually competent, check out the shoutouts.
Shoutouts!
To Trepang Studios for making, uh, Trepang.
Many, many thanks to ShermanJumbo, Lunaire, Skye, Cityrobo, Wolfosito, Sora101TD, Volks, Kuromi and the entire H3VR Homebrew server for the help! Every little bit helps keep the motivation fire burning, from an updated guide to an "I dunno".
Oh, and you. Genuinely! If you loaded this up and actually enjoyed it, that's one heck of a mountain off my shoulders. And if you didn't, and told me why you didn't, that's an even bigger mountain! Or something.
