README

TerminalGamepadCitrus

This is a modified fork of the original TerminalGamepad mod which makes a few adjustments I thought were needed.

Don't expect too much from this right now, this is just a choppy, very slight edit of the original source code.

Changes:

  • Font on the on-screen keyboard is larger.
  • Some of the other UI elements related to the on-screen keyboard are larger.
  • Some of the menu elements have been slightly re-balanced so that the TerminalGamepad menu isn't too broken compared to standard keyboard-based play. For example, you can't use the gamepad/on-screen keyboard menu to reveal every door/interact code, or make certain things too easy to type out.

I felt that the original TerminalGamepad made a few things too broken for Controller players/TerminalGamepad menu users (yes, you can open the on-screen keyboard without using a controller) so I made this fork in order to combat those issues so I could include proper controller support of some kind in my very own Modpack, the Lemon Company Modpack.

A lot of the original mod was left in-tact, so some of the other mod specific compatibility features should (hopefully) still work.

I would like to eventually make the source code for this version available on GitHub (as a proper fork of the original TerminalGamepad) but I don't have the time to learn how to use GitHub at the moment. I'll hopefully get around to it at some point. Not that this change from the original source code is that good anyway.

Consider this version (v2025.3.14) an early acces or pre-release version of sorts.
