Baykals Fens and swamps are well known for rampant floral fauna populations and old facilities by long dead ancient alien civilizations wiped out by unknown means. Many attempts by prospecters to uncover treasures buried deep in abandoned temples and tombs have ended in consistent failure and death. Their belongings are free for the taking however, just watch your back and listen for the ground quaking.
