ReservedFlashlightSlot
Requires: ReservedItemSlotCore
This mod gives you a free, dedicated item slot for flashlights. Both flashlight items, and only flashlights can fill this slot.
These item slots are aligned on the right side of the screen, and stack vertically with my other ReservedItemSlot mods, such as the ReservedWalkieSlot mod.
You cannot switch to these slots manually by scrolling. Instead, the method for swapping to these items is to hold Alt, and scrolling up and down to switch between them.
This way, you can swap to these items to drop them, as well as other actions, such as charging, storing, etc.
You can activate the flashlight anytime by pressing F, and with any item in your hands.
This hotkey can be changed in the config.
The flashlight sits nicely on your shoulder when not in your hand. (patch 1.3.0)
CHANGELOG
2.0.8
- Added a config option to remove the Laser Pointer from the Reserved Flashlight Slot. (Again? Didn't I do this in 2.0.6??)
2.0.7
- Updated mod description for latest update compatibility.
2.0.6
- Added a config option to remove the Laser Pointer from the Reserved Flashlight Slot.
2.0.5
- Fixed bug where I was trying to change the flashlight's lens texture without checking the "changeMaterial" bool. This caused errors when picking up/interacting with flashlights with this bool false, such as laser pointer, or various modded flashlights.
2.0.4
- Rewrote the flashlight toggle logic.
Flashlights not in the reserved slot will now be the target flashlight to toggle on/off when pressing [F], unless there is a flashlight in the reserved item slot. Flashlights currently in your hands will take priority. - Flashlight states are a lot smarter now. (it was inconsistent before)
- When turning on a flashlight, all other flashlights will turn off. This is also triggered when picking up a flashlight that is already turned on.
- Swapping to/from a flashlight that is turned on will automatically update the lights to be shown in the correct position. (flashlight light, helmet light, flashlight light while on other player's shoulder, etc)
- The flashlight's light yellow "texture" by the bulb (turned on texture) should not appear on while the flashlight is turned off. (only when in a player's inventory)
2.0.3
- Fixed issue with flashlight activating when not supposed to, such as when typing in chat, in terminal, etc.
2.0.2
- Added reminder in config descriptions about adding items, that translated items may need to be added to the list of additional items.
- Changed default item slot priority to 200 (from 120). Priority order should remain be unchanged for all of my reserved item slot mods.
- Added current items in slot to the README.
2.0.1
- Fixed issue with not being able to toggle flashlight with [F] when disabling purchasing slots.
2.0.0
- Adds support for ReservedItemSlotCore 2.0.0 features.
- Flashlight slot can now be purchased!
- Item slot price can be adjusted in the config.
- Item slot priority can now be adjusted in the config.
- Items can be added to this reserved item slot in the config. This can be handy when adding variations of this item, or when adding an item's translated name to the slot.
1.6.3
