Overview

Pet Chest Mod adds a purchasable companion chest to Lethal Company that follows you around, stores items, and retrieves your body and items when you die. Version 2.0.0 introduces numerous new features and enhancements to the original mod.

• Purchase a pet chest from the terminal
• Each player can buy their own chest
• Chest follows its owner with smooth animation
• When you die, your chest will retrieve your body and items back to the ship
• Players can gift chests to other players

Usage

Buying a Pet Chest

1. Use the terminal on the ship
2. Type petchest to see information about the Pet Chest
3. Type buy petchest to purchase a Pet Chest for yourself

Gifting a Pet Chest to Another Player

1. Use the terminal on the ship
2. Type gift petchest [player name] to purchase a Pet Chest for another player
   • Example: gift petchest John
3. The cost will be deducted from the group's credits

Using Your Pet Chest

• Your chest will automatically follow you around
• Look at your chest and interact to store or retrieve items
• When holding an item, interact with the chest to store it
• When not holding an item, interact with the chest to retrieve an item
• If you die, your chest will automatically retrieve your body and items back to the ship

Customizing Your Chest

• Use the terminal command petchest customize to access customization options
• Select from different skins and color options
• Toggle visual effects on or off

Using Advanced Features

• Emergency teleport can be activated by pressing [F] when looking at your chest (if enabled in settings)
• Access shared storage by using the terminal command petchest shared
• Trade your chest with another player using petchest trade [player name] [duration]
• Leave a message in your chest using petchest message [text]

Configuration

The mod includes extensive configuration options that can be modified in the BepInEx config file:

General Settings

• AllowGiftingChests: Enable/disable the ability to gift chests to other players
• ChestPrice: Change the price of the pet chest
• FollowDistance: Adjust how far behind the player the chest follows
• MoveSpeed: Adjust how quickly the chest moves

Visual Customization

• DefaultChestSkin: Set the default chest appearance
• UseCustomColor: Enable/disable custom coloring
• CustomColorR/G/B: Set custom color values
• ShowMovementParticles: Toggle movement particle effects

Installation

1. Install BepInEx
2. Extract this mod into your BepInEx/plugins folder
