README

Addon Fusion

Addon Fusion is a mod that adds new items to find in the dungeon. These items are addons that can be attached to game items, giving them a new ability. The mod also includes a new item with its own unique functionality. All these new items are generated separately from the rest, they do not replace any other scraps/items.

Description

To use an addon, simply press the use button while aiming at the item you want to attach it to. Only one addon can be attached to an item, and the new ability of the item only works if the addon is attached.

Addons

Flashlight Lens

Attach to a flashlight to blind and stun enemies for a certain amount of time. It is possible to blind a player, but it will not stun them. Example

Blade Sharpener

Attach to a knife to enable critical hits if the player is lucky. A critical failure is also possible, causing the player to drop their weapon without dealing any damage.

Protective Cord

Attach to a shovel to enhance it and give it the ability to block an enemy attack. This new functionality is added to the item's secondary use button. If the block is successful, the enemy is briefly stunned and the player receives a boost in endurance and speed for a short duration.

Salt Tank

Attach to a spray paint, it allows you to counter ghost enemies (currently the DressGirl and Herobrine). The effect only works when a ghost is in chase with a player; if the ghost collides with a drawing made with the spray paint (or if the player uses it to shoot directly at the enemy), there is a chance to stop the chase. If the chase continues, the probability of disappearing on the next collision increases. Example

Senzu

The Senzu can be used as either an addon or an item (see 'Items' section). Attach it to a TZP-Inhalant to give the TZP-Inhalant the ability to heal and regenerate stamina.

Pyrethrin Tank

Attach to a weed killer, it allows you to counter insect-like enemies such as red bees, butler bees, spiders, hoarding bugs and snare fleas. It repels them for a configurable amount of time, but be careful, they might become enraged.

Example Example Example Example Example

Repair Module

Attach to a capsule Hoi-Poi, it allows the stored item's value to increase (see configurations to manage values). Once its maximum usage is reached, the addon is destroyed and the capsule returns to its default state without any linked addon. If the stored item that was being repaired by the module is spawned, the module is destroyed.

Items

Capsule Hoi-Poi

The famous Hoi-Poi capsule from Dragon Ball Z, this capsule has the ability to store any object, including the vehicle. For balance reasons, the capsule can only contain one object at a time, so the vehicle must be empty.

Why use this capsule?

  • Reduce the weight of the item The item stored in the capsule does not affect the player's carried weight.

  • Avoid lightning If the planet has stormy weather, it's possible to store a metal object in the capsule to prevent lightning from striking it.

  • Climb a ladder with any object Two-handed objects (as well as the vehicle) cannot be carried when the player climbs or descends a ladder. Storing this object or the vehicle in the capsule allows the player to bring it along.

  • Bring the vehicle into the dungeon Not very useful in basic interiors as they are too small to use the vehicle, but perhaps some dungeons can be good for its use (I haven't tried all the interiors).

Example Example

Senzu

The Senzu can be used as either an item or an addon (see 'Addons' section). Two possible and unique uses:

  • Revive an ally if they died within the last minute (configurable)
  • Consume with the secondary action button to fully regenerate health and stamina.

Ephemeral Items

Ephemeral items are a new type of item with a limited lifespan:

  • For battery-powered items, once the battery is depleted, the item is destroyed. A tip: don't try to recharge them.
  • For certain special items that have a tank or fuel, they are also destroyed once fully consumed.
  • For other items, a specific number of uses is assigned.

It is possible to configure their minimum/maximum battery levels (same applies to items with a container or fuel) as well as the number of uses they have. By default, these items do not survive after the ship takes off and are destroyed (configurable).

List of currently available ephemeral items:

  • Ephemeral Flashlight (pro or not)
  • Ephemeral Shovel
  • Ephemeral Spray Paint
  • Ephemeral Kitchen Knife
  • Ephemeral Weed Killer
  • Ephemeral TZP-Inhalant
