Addon Fusion

Addon Fusion introduces a modular system that enhances items with unique abilities through Addons. Addons can be found during exploration and attached to compatible items, adding new mechanics, utility, or combat options.

Addon System

  • Addons can spawn inside the dungeon (or be purchased, disabled by default).
  • They do not replace existing scrap, making them an additional reward layer.
  • Each addon is tied to a specific item (unless stated otherwise).
  • Some addons can be activated or toggled using the configured addon ability key.

Base Addons

Description

Blade Sharpener (Kitchen Knife)

  • Grants a 5% chance to perform a critical hit
  • Critical hits instantly kill the target

Echo Scanner (Boombox)

  • Toggleable ability (addon key)
  • Doubles battery consumption while active
  • When active:
    • Reveals nearby items through walls while carried
    • Reveals nearby enemies through walls while placed on the ground

Flashlight Lens (Flashlights)

  • Toggleable ability
  • Doubles battery consumption while active
  • Allows the flashlight to:
    • Blind players when aiming at their eyes
    • Stun enemies when aiming at their eyes

Marker Compound (Spray Paint)

  • Toggleable ability
  • Doubles paint consumption while active
  • While active:
    • Mark players, enemies, or objects
    • Marked targets have their aura revealed through walls

Protective Cord (Shovel)

  • Active ability (timing-based)
  • Allows the player to block enemies with precise timing
  • Is triggered by colliding with an enemy, works with Masked, Forest Giant, and Mouth Dog

Salt Tank (Shotgun)

  • Enables the shotgun to damage spirits
  • Currently effective against the Ghost Girl
  • Hitting a spirit:
    • Makes it disappear
    • Resets its haunting target

Spectral Frequency (Walkie-Talkie)

  • Toggleable ability
  • Doubles battery consumption while active
  • Allows players to hear dead players through the walkie-talkie

Cross-Mod Addons

Description

These addons are obtained from other mods and integrate directly into Addon Fusion.

Poison Mark (Lantern Keeper)

Description
  • Dropped by the Lantern Keeper (attached to the dagger by default)
  • Can be transferred to any item

Ability

  • Projects a ground marker following the player's aim
  • Reactivate to confirm the position
  • Applies Poison to targets in the area:
    • Deals damage over 10 seconds
    • Increases damage taken by 1.5×
  • Cooldown: 45 seconds

Frost Mark (Snow Playgrounds)

Description
  • Dropped by Frostbite (attached to the Snowgun by default)
  • Can be transferred to any item

Ability

  • Projects a ground marker following the player's aim
  • Reactivate to confirm the position
  • Applies Frost to targets in the area:
    • Deals damage over 10 seconds
    • Strongly slows affected targets
  • Cooldown: 45 seconds

Spectral Decoy (The Doctor)

Description
  • Dropped by Doctor's Brain (attached to the Doctor's Brain by default)
  • Can be transferred to any item

Ability

  • Summons a clone that lures nearby enemies, then disappears in a cloud of smoke, dealing minor area damage
  • Cooldown: 120 seconds

Ship Upgrade

Description

Addon Capsule

  • New ship furniture
  • Allows players to extract an addon from an item
  • Extracted addons can then be reapplied to another compatible item
