AbyssalAudioRevamped

My edit of AbyssalAudio. I felt as if that some parts were either too annoying, too goofy, or could improved upon, so I adjusted it to my liking.

All credit goes to the AbyssalCompanyTeam (AbyssalAudio v1.1.1 and v1.1.4), HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP (SpookyJester v1.0.0), coffeecat (LobotomyCorpGiantSounds), and PtitSerpent (BetterJazz).

As you may or may not know, AbyssalAudio is an audio replacement mod with the intention to make the game more immersive... fooor the most part. There were a few sound files I took issue with, whether it be they were too annoying, too goofy, or could just generally be improved upon, so I threw this together: An AbyssalAudio edit that keeps the best immersive audio but removes/replaces the worst.

If any problems with this mod arise; then you're outta luck, because I know jack shit about modding/coding. All this is is a simple sound edit.

What I added:

  • Nutcrackers now have their voicelines and marching band music back from v1.1.1 of AbyssalAudio! Yay!
  • The Jester now plays Victorian music and roars in her popped state
  • The forest keepers sound heavier and their vocalizations are more cryptid-like
  • Record player now has multiple tracks, good for a Victorian lovers like me!
  • More mysterious and nostalgic menu music

What I removed:

  • Annoying/unfitting audio for the brackens, bunker spiders, ghost girl, and boomboxes
  • Eyeless dogs' roars; now they're actually hearable again!
  • Earpiercing audio e.g. the gunshot sound that's in the place of one of the button sound effects for whatever reason
  • Stale audio e.g. an audible bang followed by a long creak and most of the ghostly ambient voices
  • Audio that's... already in the base game. Removing all these reduced the file size significantly with no issues
