COMPANY-MANDATED MESSAGE:
Good day, employees. We have alarming and charming news.
New creature presence has been detected on the moons available from our catalogue of planets, and mixed witness accounts tell a story of such a creature having far superior strength compared to humans, can be easily enraged, and has displayed a level of intelligence higher than the average predator, so we advice you all to proceed with caution.
On a more positive note, we heard rumors that a duo of escaped circus animals have supposedly been located again, which gives us hope that the performances can finally start again soon. Should you happen to run into these animals, be sure to remind them of how wonderful their acts on stage were, as they are sure to think back on those days fondly.
That is all for this message. We hope you stay a great asset to the Company.
The Mod
Introduction
Ready to face a new predator greater than yourself? This enemy mod adds the BeatBoxer, a new kind of challenge revolving all around your perception of enemy audio, as well as testing your skills in combat!
Keep an ear out in the facility and try not to step into the territory of those who see you as a threat, as this might be one encounter you won't be able to outsmart or fight your way out of...
Creation:
- This mod was made primarily as a college project, since/but it is my gateway into trying to learn how to model, UV wrap, rig, and animate characters all on my own. You'll no doubt see how it is uhhh... my first attempt, but I am happy enough with the result from testing to release the mod in this state, partially because.........
- The mod is releasing as a beta to start with, to get more playtesting feedback and see how the design holds up, while I keep iterating on the programming and visual art in the meantime. It is unlikely core ideas of the mod will change, but I hope audiovisually I can come close to a level of enemy modelling and animating that Lethal Company has, to hopefully feel natural in the game and further develop these skills for the future.
- Should you want to give feedback too or even help playtest, that would be wonderful! You can always reach me by pinging me through the Lethal Company Modding discord, and I'll try to put up a post for this mod when it is a bit further into development, after some more features have been implemented and feedback has been received.
