This page will list the current and previous effects that Config option [Other Tools Balance] will have on the item in question. All of these items will not attract lightning during stormy weather, but will get an extra penalty, as to not make the item objectively easier or better, to balance things out. So to be clear, the below lists describe the difference if the option is set to true, meaning that its false-counterpart basically does the opposite of what's listed below (which, to be honest, is how I intended the item to function).
In general, and especially for items rebalanced in v2, this will spoil some gameplay functionality I think is best experienced for yourself, so read this is you are fine with potential spoilers on how things work.
Rebalanced in v1, removed in v2:
- Golden Horn, its tooting could not be heard unless very close to the horn
- Golden Airhorn, could not be spammed thanks to a cooldown of a few seconds
- Purified Mask, could not be worn anymore
- G.O.L.D., its volume would be increased both when held and pocketed
- Comedy Gold, everyone's favorite sound effect was removed from rotation
- Golden Register, could not be kachinged anymore
Rebalanced in v1, kept in v2:
- Golden Bell, no changes, noise range in which it attracts enemies is still doubled
- Golden Glass, still has glass blocking vision, which is now actually annoying as some things can't be seen anymore
- Gold Sign, visually looks like a gold Yield Sign now too, instead of only using its weight
- Jacob's Ladder, still has lower battery life but its vanilla battery life is higher
Rebalanced in v2:
- Gold Remote, only flickers lights instead of toggling them
- Goldmine, cannot be toggled anymore but will stay the way it spawns, its other functionality is unaffected
- Golden Grenade, becomes a gold Homemade Flashbang visually and functionally, but still won't get destroyed
- Golden Guardian, will still block a hit and hurt the enemy, I just put more gunpowder into it
- Golden Pickaxe, will break upon its first critical hit, its mining functionality is unaffected
- Golden Glove, its parameters will get rebalanced so both its strengths and weaknesses will be stronger and weaker respectively
