Broken Leg Mod

A realistic injury mod for Lethal Company. When a player becomes critically injured (limping), the injury becomes permanent - they can only limp slowly until rescued. Other players can pick them up and carry them to safety!

Features

Permanent Leg Break

  • Critical Injury Detection: When the game puts you into limping state, it becomes permanent
  • Permanent Limping: Injured players limp at reduced speed for the rest of the round
  • No Sprinting: Broken leg players cannot sprint
  • No Jumping: Broken leg players cannot jump (configurable)
  • Healing: Only healed by death + revive, round end, or ship reset

Carry System

  • Pick Up Injured Players: Walk up to a limping player and press Interact (E / X on controller) to carry them
  • Drop Players: Press Discard (G / Circle on controller) to put them down
  • Two-Handed Animation: Carrier plays a two-handed carry animation
  • Movement Penalty: Carrier moves slower while carrying (configurable weight)
  • Carried Player Immobilized: The carried player cannot move or look around

Controller Support

  • Full Gamepad Support: All interactions use the game's native input system
  • Interact Button: Pick up uses game's Interact action (E on keyboard, X/Square on controller)
  • Discard Button: Drop uses game's Discard action (G on keyboard, Circle on controller)

Multiplayer

  • Full Network Sync: Broken leg state and carry state synced across all clients via CustomMessagingManager
  • Host-Authoritative: All state changes go through the host for security
  • All players need the mod installed for full experience

Configuration (LethalConfig supported)

All settings can be changed in-game via LethalConfig!

Traeger-Geschwindigkeit 0.6 Carrier speed multiplier (0.2 - 1.0)

Carry Position

Setting Default Description
Tragen: Vorwaerts 1.2 Forward offset of carried player
Tragen: Runter 0.5 Downward offset of carried player
Tragen: Rechts 0.0 Right offset of carried player
Tragen: Gewicht 1.5 Weight added to carrier (1.0 - 3.0)

Installation

Thunderstore (Recommended)

  1. Install via Thunderstore Mod Manager
  2. BepInEx is installed automatically as a dependency

Manual

  1. Install BepInEx 5.4.21+
  2. Copy the BrokenLegMod folder into BepInEx/plugins/
  3. The folder should contain:
    • BrokenLegMod.dll

How It Works

  1. Take enough damage to enter the game's critical injury state (limping)
  2. Your leg is now permanently broken - you limp slowly and can't sprint or jump
  3. Another player walks up to you and sees "Aufheben [E]" prompt
  4. They press Interact to pick you up - you're now being carried!
  5. The carrier can walk (slowly) to safety with you
  6. Press Discard to put the injured player down
  7. The broken leg is only healed when the round ends or you die and get revived
