Loud Birds Mod
Introduction
This mod adds 8 new species of birds into the game. These birds spawn inside as scrap and can be interacted with.
Tested on V49, V50 and V55, should work on the beta branch as well.
Bird Species
All bird species added (8 species)
- Parrot
- GoldFinch
- Crow
- Robin
- Cardinal
- Chickadee
- BlueJayBird
- Sparrow
Behavior
Currently, all bird species have the same behavior, but this might change in future updates. The birds occasionally make noises and have a chance of randomly pecking you when held.
Special interactions:
When holding a bird in the main hand, you may notice the following special behaviors:
- Birds will freak out if there's a monster nearby, making loud noises.
- You can pet the birds by pressing the use button.
- The parrot is slightly smarter in warning the player compared to the other bird species, as it takes into account if the monster is actively targeting you as well.
Birds can spawn in various sizes, from natural real world sizes to weird over the top lethal company universe sizes. (Sizes are random)
The volume of the noises made by the birds can be adjusted in the mod's config file. The spawn rate of the birds can also be adjusted. This is done per bird species, so if you think that the parrots are too loud, you can turn down parrots specifically (Even though the mod is called LoudParrots).
