Basicmods
configured modpack intended as a (mostly) vanilla+ experience with mainly fixes and QOL improvements. consideration has been given to maintaining stability and avoiding conflicts. now v55/56 compatible. v50 version still supported for now.
CHANGELOG
Agenda...
- !testing v2.0.0 in multiplayer as soon as I find some friends
- !rebalance sell values with some consideration for adjusted weights... maybe
- !rebalance sell values for photos
- !reconfigure to disable verbose logging everywhere after a bit more testing
- !add BetterVehicleControls - if the cruiser is truly is unusable. sure seems like it, but i'll persist a little more.
- ! add An0n_ambientmusicsync
v2.2.1
- just providing an updated changelog and readme to reflect updates to v1.8, which should work fine now for v50.
v1.8.3 for v50
- adjusted preferred versions to versions that were known to be working pre-v55. hopefully this should resolve some errors that were popping up. there might still be a few mods that were added post-v55 that i need to suss out and find a working version for, but i'll put this up for now.
v1.8.2 for v50
- removed More_Emotes_Patch because I'm dumb
v1.8.1 for v50
Reverting emote handler due to an incompatibility with v50.
- removed TooManyEmotes
- added More_Emotes for compatibility and classic vibes
- added More_Emotes_Patch - you can move while emoting, press again to stop.
v1.8.0 for v50
This version is specifically intended for use with v50 via the "use previous version". This will allow us to continue enjoying betrayalDLC until InfectedCompany updates for v56. Updating from 2.2.0 somehow should not affect existing installations, but v2.2.0 is currently recommended for v55/56.
- reverted to previous version of GeneralImprovements
- reverted to previous version of LethalFixes
- reverted to previous version of EnemySoundFixes
- removed CruiserImproved
v2.2.0 for v55
- removed BetterEmotes due to an incompatibility popping up in my other packs
- removed More_Emotes_Patch
- added TooManyEmotes - I can already tell I'm gonna regret this, I'm too old for these zoomer memes. But masked enemies can emote now, so that's cool.
- added NameplateTweaks
- reconfigured GeneralImprovements - faster inventory scrolling. Apparently its setting overrides whatever HotbarTweaks is trying to do here.
v2.1.0 for v55
And of course GeneralImprovements updates with teleporter config improvements just a few hours after I do this. I'm reverting a lot of changes but I decided to keep a few of the new mods just because they do the job better.
- added GeneralImprovements; configured to avoid incompatibility with new additions
- reconfigured ScalingStartingCredits - now only adds extra credits with more than 4 players, because you start with 80 now thanks to GeneralImprovements.
- removed:
- FireExitFlip
- LetMeLookDown
- SnapRotateFurniture
- MoonPriceDisplay
- ScannableTools
- ScannablePlayerItems
- OrbitRecharge
- OpenMonitors
- NoTerminalSway
- StartingTeleporters
Other Changes
- added Hitmarker - visual QOL
- added TeleportDecline - gives the option to not be teleported out
- added TurretWhacker - turret counterplay
- added GetItOffMe - while suffocating a player, snare fleas now have a chance every second to either, 50% of the time deal 10 damage; 10% of the time detach; otherwise do nothing. You might still die but it's not GG if you're unarmed.
- added More_Emotes_Patch - you can now move while emoting; press the emote key again to stop.
- reconfigured LethalUtilities - The Company will grab your stuff twice as quickly, watch it. Teleporter is configured here for now; you won't drop any items when you use the inverse teleporter, but you'll only keep the item you're holding when you teleport back to the ship. Hopefully this works okay with modded items, I'll have to test in another modpack.
- reconfigured IntroTweaks - launch should now skip straight to Online mode
- reconfigured FasterItemDropship - reverted changes to dropship landing time because i realized it also applies when you make a new order in the field
- removed KillBind - included erroneously
v2.0.0 for v55
Updating for v55/56
- removed Coroner - until it gets updates. Dev has acknowledged it doesn't work right now, so hopefull a fix will be provided soon.
- removed ShovelFix - appears to be obsolete in v56
- removed More_Emotes - in favor of BetterEmotes
- added BetterEmotes - functionally the same as More_Emotes but up to date
Replacing GeneralImprovements... it's broken in v55/56 and i wanted to replace it anyway, so we're going back to the modular route.
- removed GeneralImprovements
- reconfigured LethalUtilities - no longer needs to handle jump delay
- added FireExitFlip - replacing functionality from GeneralImprovements
- added LetMeLookDown - replacing functionality from GeneralImprovements
- added SnapRotateFurniture - replacing functionality from GeneralImprovements
- added MoonPriceDisplay - replacing functionality from GeneralImprovements
- added ScannableTools - replacing functionality from GeneralImprovements
- added ScannableFireExit - replacing functionality from GeneralImprovements
- added ScannablePlayerItems - replacing functionality from GeneralImprovements
- added ScanShipEverywhere - replacing functionality from GeneralImprovements
- added OrbitRecharge - replacing functionality from GeneralImprovements
- added HotbarPlus - replacing functionality from GeneralImprovements
- added IntroTweaks - replacing functionality from GeneralImprovements
- added OpenMonitors - replacing functionality from GeneralImprovements
- added NoTerminalSway - replacing functionality from GeneralImprovements
- added StartingTeleporters - disabled by default but I included it anyway because this can be a fun way to mix things up a bit
- added ScalingStartCredits - replacing functionality from GeneralImprovements. this works a little differently, you'll receive a bit of extra funding after starting with n or more players. For now I configured it at 20 credits per player starting from the fourth player
- added An0n_Patches - replacing functionality from GeneralImprovements, also comes with a few movement control upgrades. controls will feel tighter and you can now jump while crouching
- added lethal_after_dark - terminal improvements - left and right to switch players, 'tp' to start teleporting the target, and 'lights' to toggle ship lights.
Note: a few features from GeneralImprovements weren't able to be replaced so far: - Better quality security cameras - only solution I found conflicts with OpenBodyCams - Extra large monitor for ship camera - no solution found so far - Unlock doors from inventory - no solution found so far but I'm pretty sure I've seen one before
Other Changes
-
added CruiserImproved - some tweaks to the cruiser without changing controls for now. gonna at least try to get used to it
-
added ToxicOmega_Tools (and prerequisites StaticNetcodeLib, OdinSerializer) - offers various admin and testing commands, notably including a TP command that can be used to unstuck players. I recommend checking the mod page for this one if you plan to make use of it.
-
added enhancedicons - nice visual information upgrade
-
added ReverbOnDeath - dramatic! hopefully. i didn't test it.
-
added ScannableCodes - to scan blast doors, landmines, turrets etc and learn their terminal codes. Not sure how useful that is without a hacking tool or something, but the scan nodes alone might be helpful
-
reconfigured FasterItemDropship - increased the delay on delivery by a few seconds so the ship has time to land. Significantly increased the time before the ship leaves without a player collecting items.
-
reconfigured OpenBodyCams - enabled PIP mode for terminal camera display (command is 'view bodycam')
-
reconfigured MoreBlood - less blood
-
reconfigured LethalUtilities - ViewClockInShip true, disabled DoorsInSpace
-
reconfigured ReservedUtilitySlot - Lockpick should be accepted by utility slot now, doesn't seem like it wanted to be moved over to the key slot
-
reconfigured BalancedItems - disabled changes by default for a closer to vanilla experience
-
removed terminal_clock - since clock is already visible in the ship now
v1.7.0
- removed shipwindows & spacesunshine - messing with the ship was causing stability issues
- removed reservedkeyslot - superseded by reservedutilityslot
- removed reservedspraypaintslot - superseded by reservedutilityslot
- added reservedutilityslot - offers key slots and is more configurable
- added UncaughtExceptionCatcher - hopefully prevents issues
- added eastereggfixes - prevents egg from popping when dropped. might have been funny the first time...
v1.6.3
Small fix
- reconfigured TooManySuits - suit page controls keybinds weren't working, moved them to N and M
- Updated manifest description & readme a bit
v1.6.2
Some much needed debugging...
- removed butleradditionalplayerfix - this bug is already handled by MoreCompany and was causing errors
- removed LethalResonance and loaforcsSoundAPI - to prevent frequent crashes during launch. this was apparently caused by an incompatibility between MoreCompany and loaforcsSoundAPI, so i opted to disable the latter as it is less essential for me.
- reconfigured butteryfixes - MaskHornetsPower to True
- reconfigure MoreCompany - max players 8 by default, more is unsupported by GUI
- reconfigured Loadstone - reduced Dungeon Target Framerate to see if this smooths out load performance in multiplayer. might revert later depending on how testing goes
- added MirrorDecor - and made it cheap, for a better experience swapping between outfits
v1.6.1
- reconfigured LethalUtils to disable jump delay
- removed JumpDelayPatch
- i messed up the versioning for the last filename lol
v1.6.0
Mostly visual upgrades, and a few small tweaks
- added MoreSuits & TooManySuits - been meaning to do this for a while
- added a bunch of simple suit skin mods - AmongUsSuits, Doms_Basic_Suit_Colors, Fashion_Company, CudisRealisticSuits, 1000_Quota_Stare, SCP_Suits
- added TooManyHats - for more cosmetics
- added ShipWindows & SpaceSunShine - for a better view while in space
- added ReservedWeaponSlot - to save those shovel slots
- added LethalUtilities - as a more configurable replacement to several mods - moreso in extension modpacks, but I found some uses for it here. The inverse teleporter has a shorter cooldown, and you can now open the ship doors (you can't leave, but you can get a nice view).
- removed AdditionalSuits and AdditionalContentFramework - superseded by MoreSuits & TooManySuits
- removed LCBetterClock - in favor of LethalUtilities
- reconfigured NoiseSuppression - enabled by default (i think? press [PageUp] if it isn't working)
- reconfigured LethalSnap - disabled polaroid scrap loot as they are often glitched
- reconfigured MajorityVote - vote must be unanimous but can be done by one person (useful for if someone gets stuck or something)
- reconfigured discjockey - quieter by default
- reconfigured generalimprovements - adjusted starting credits again
- maintenance - removed a bunch of redundant config files
v1.5.3
- reconfigured TestAccountFixes - disabled ItemGrab fix for compatibility
- reconfigured CoilHeadStare - to turn a bit faster
v.1.5.2
- added FairGiants
- added StopBeesOpeningDoors
- added NoiseSuppression
- added discountalert
v1.5.1
- reconfigured CozyImprovements - disabled TerminalMonitorAlwaysOn, EasyLaunchLeverEnabled and BigDoorButtonsEnabled for stability/compat.
- removed fontfixer - causes text popups to glitch out
v1.5.0
Config tweaks and a few more additional fixes. Still a few things need doing, but the to-do list for this modpack is getting quite short.
- reconfigured GeneralImprovements - reduced starting credits per player because it seems like it doesn't work the way i thought it did
- reconfigure LobbyControl - enabled some options to prevent desync of held items
- reconfigured ReservedItemSlotCore - pressing alt now toggles between hotbar and extra slots
- reconfigured ButteryFixes - to allow TestAccountFixes to handle jump cheese
- added CollectYourDead
- added MajorityVote
- added CozyImprovements
- added ShovelFix
- added ButlerAdditionalPlayerFix
- added TestAccountFixes
- added FontFixer
- added NestFix
v1.4.1
Hotfix
- reconfigured Framerate_Slider because it configured itself to 1fps after an update for some reason
- moved changelog to separate file
v1.4.0
Now that the contentexpansion pack isn't being a huge pain in my ass, the time of bugfixes and tweaks is nigh. Did my best to maintain compatibility to existing mods and fixes, so hopefully this solves more issues than it introduces. Several existing mods were made entirely obsolete and removed. Few minor gameplay adjustments.
- added Hold_Scan_Button
- added JumpDelayPatch
- added Zoom
- added BetterMonitor
- added OpenBodyCams - it seems to be more robust than Helmet_Cameras, but will have to compare how it works in practice.
- added JetpackFixes
- added MeleeFixes
- added ButteryFixes
- added StarlancerAIFix
- added SlimeTamingFix
- added DoorFix
- added SZAKI-EnemyFix
- added KeepUnlocks
- added LightsOut
- added GeneralImprovements
- added Matty_Fixes
- added LobbyControl
- added LethalFixes
- removed DissonanceLagFix - superseded by LethalFixes
- removed ShipLobby - superseded by LobbyControl
- removed Helmet_Cameras - superseded by OpenBodyCams
- removed ItemClippingFix - superseded by Matty_Tweaks
- removed LetMeLookDown - superseded by GeneralImprovements
- removed NoSellLimit - superseded by GeneralImprovements
- removed Quick_Radar_Switch - superseded by GeneralImprovements
- removed MoreItems - superseded by GeneralImprovements
- removed LC_FastStartup - mostly superseded by GeneralImprovements
- removed FlashlightToggle - because reservedFLashlightSlot already has a toggle
- reconfigured LethalLib - set EnableItemSaveFix to true
- reconfigured ReservedSprayPaintSlot - to also accept Polaroid cameras
- reconfigured ReservedFlashlightSlot - just moved the slot to the left hand side along with the key slot, since you'll rarely need to interact with it directly.
Lots of config options to adjust so I'll likely make more config changes over the next few patches. I also tried removing UnlockableDefaults and SuitSaver as GeneralImprovements offers similar functionality, but these mods seem to work more reliably.
Gameplay notes:
- You can now zoom in with Z.
- The scanner received some upgrades. You can now hold the scan button to scan repeatedly, and it will identify more things.
- Jumping should be more responsive now, so take care not to over-correct for the delay when doing dangerous jumps.
- You don't need to switch to a key to use it any more.
- GeneralImprovements has notably been configured to scale starting credits with the number of players - for now 40 per player, with a 60 starting credit minimum.
- GeneralImprovements also adds a lot of extra monitors to the ship, which are hopefully at least a little bit useful. Couldn't tie more than one of the monitors to a bodycam unfortunately.
- Furniture rotation now snaps to 15 degrees, but you can override this snapping. Extra controls will be displayed when you're repositioning things.
- For the sake of brevity, your battery items will now recharge automagically when you enter orbit.
v1.3.4
- reconfigured alwayshearactivewalkie again, still tweaking this one.
- removed WalkieUse as redundant - AlwaysActiveWalkie doesn't require you to "use" the walkie)
- removed QuickRestart as redundant - there is a vanilla 'eject' command already)
- removed BetterSpec - some features did not work
- trying BetterSpectator - hopefully an upgrade
- added Balanced_Items - notably rebalances item weights to be largely more sensible. more importantly, polaroid and picture weights were able to be drastically reduced so you can live your best life as a photographer.
- added Loadstone - should improve lag when loading a moon
- added LCBetterClock - clock is now visible while inside the ship
- added LC_FastStartup - QOL
- added LobbyCompatibility - QOL
- added AccurateStaminaDisplay - QOL
- added Framerate_Slider - QOL
- added NiceChat - QOL
v1.3.3
- reconfigured LethalSnap - the polaroid camera was made cheaper. i'll probably play around with photo values in the near future.
v1.3.2
Config tweak
- reconfigured alwayshearactivewalkie - increased audibledistance, this one didn't need to be lowered so much.
v1.3.1
We're now on Thunderstore... This version just attempts to fix some issues with the previous version. I'm not sure if this worked, if it didn't some mods might need to be culled for stability.
- reconfigured quotarollovertweaks - hopefully fixed getting fired when you didn't sell enough to meet quota, despite having enough rolled over to make the difference.
- reconfigured alwayshearactivewalkie - dramatically reduced walkierecordingrange and audibledistance.
- added quick_radar_switch - switch in terminal with left and right arrows.
- added immersive_visor
