THIS MOD IS A WORK IN PROGRESS. IT IS NOT COMPLETE. THIS DOES NOT REPRESENT ITS FINAL STATE.

This mod adds some terrifying chase music to several monsters, tailored to each monster individually. In addition to its music, Jester will also cackle at you while it runs around.

Song previews will be added later.

Current monsters that have music added or changed:

  • Bracken
  • Thumper
  • Butler
  • Ghost Girl (Ambience only)
  • Nutcracker
  • Jester

All songs should loop relatively well, if not seamlessly. These may be tweaked or adjusted in the future, or outright replaced.

Because of the way this mod CURRENTLY works, it replaces some audio files from vanilla or other mods. This means you will probably not hear certain modded or other vanilla sounds when using this mod. (Only a few specific sounds have been replaced, so this is relatively unlikely) Bracken has had its vanilla audio layered into the music.

Currently known issues:

  • Nutcracker's audio will immediately loop after firing its shotgun.
  • Thumper's music is audible from outside for some reason, albeit muffled.
  • Music might layer over itself if multiple monsters, identical or otherwise, chase a player.
  • Jester doesn't 'scream' (too lazy to add the scream audio to the music, will fix later)

Planned vanilla monster additions:

  • Ghost Girl chase
  • Maneater (very hard maybe)
  • Forest Giant
  • Circuit Bees
  • Hoarding Bugs
  • Giant Sapsucker
  • Eyeless Dog? (death sting, maybe, not sure.)
  • Bunker Spider (soon tm) Done.
  • Old Bird (maybe)

Potential modded monster additions (suggestions welcome):

  • Driftwood Giant (Formerly from Giant Specimens, now from CodeRebirth)
  • Toilheads (Maybe. Brutal Company, NOT the turret ones.)
  • Mimics (Fire exit door, most likely a death sting when they attack)
  • Soul Devourer (maybe.)
  • NutSlayer (Brutal Company)

UNPLANNED/WILL NOT MAKE:

  • Spore Lizard (pointless)
  • Redwood Giant (they're neutral passive, and don't chase players - pointless.)
  • Coilheads (unorthodox form of chasing, sneak attacks are their exclusive factor)
  • Masked/"Mimics" (ruins the point if they have music that makes it obvious they're not a player)
  • Baboon Hawks (awkward in chases, MAYBE if i learn more about their AI.)
  • Tulip Snakes (see spore lizard)

Planned Feature Additions:

  • Revamp into one single mod that doesn't depend on several other mods for music to replace.
  • Prevent audio from layering if there's already a song playing from a monster.
  • Fix other issues such as multiple tracks playing, thumper music being audible from outside, etc.

Disclaimer because I'll probably be chewed out if I don't *This music is, technically, mine. I'm not particularly keen on prompt-based AI content, but for this specific mod, both for the purpose of personalizing each song to each monster, and for the sake of being technically streamer/DMCA friendly, I chose to use Suno to generate the music in this mod.
