LethalExtension

Overview:

This mod is intended to be an expansion to the Vanilla game, adding content which fits into the vanilla game in terms of both balance and style. Items added will likely include interiors, scrap, store items, enemies and possibly moons.

Currently, the mod adds one new interior, which is dungeon themed. This interior is comprised of custom assets and is intended to add some variety to the interiors in the base game. It also adds a new scrap item, a guitar which plays the funny weezer riff, because I thought it was funny.

The dungeon interior is in a functional state, with some bugginess. This initial release should be considered a 'beta'. There will likely be more content added to this dungeon in the near future, in addition to fixing some of the present issues.

The dungeon interior is a sprawling, dark crypt style dungeon with a high degree of verticality compared to the base interiors. As this is a beta, some features may be buggy or partially implemented. While the dungeon is fully playable, it will likely not match the experience of the base dungeons for some time.

I have provided a list of known bugs below. If you encounter any bugs you'd like to report, please post them in the LethalExtension thread located in the "mod-releases" section of the Lethal Company modding discord (https://discord.com/servers/lethal-company-modding-1168655651455639582).

Features:

Dungeon (Interior)

  • Sprawling interior made from custom assets with high degree of verticality.
  • Spawning parameters can be customized using the config file located in BepInEx/config.
  • Very dark - flashlights recommended.

Guitar (Scrap Item)

  • Plays funny weezer riff

More features and improvements to come in the near future.

To avoid issues in multiplayer, try ensure all players have the same settings in their individual config files.

Installation:

  • Ensure you have all listed dependancies installed.
  • Download and unzip the mod.
  • Place the contents of the 'plugins' folder into the 'plugins' folder located in your BepInEx install (Lethal Company\BepInEx\plugins`)
  • Launch the game once to generate a config file if you would like to edit config parameters.

Known issues:

  • Occasionally, if the map generation is too vertical, the player can be teleported to the entry door after travelling too far up or down.
  • The dungeon interior is not enabled on March, due to the fact that March has multiple fire exit doors (a fix for this is coming in the near future). Fire exits will not function on moons with more than one fire exit door.
  • Some enemies are unable to walk through some specific doorways.
  • Some rooms have lighting bleed-through.
  • Enemies occasionally clip through some map objects.
  • Scrap occasionally spawns inside of props/inside walls, though is still grabbable.
  • Hazard generation is not always perfect, and hazards may spawn clipped into objects/floating slightly.
  • Enemies have some issues navigating stairways, namely the spiral stairway.
