29-Dreg

A lategame moon placed between 8-Titan and 68-Artifice.

POPULATION: Abandoned.

CONDITIONS: Jagged terrain. Currently undergoing a moon-wide drought.

FAUNA: Highly territorial. Surface dominated by avian life forms.


Dreg is a lategame moon meant to fit inbetween Titan and Artifice difficulty-wise; found to be more reliable than the tier 3 moon due to its more manageable size, it is also incredibly chaotic as a result of its inside spawn pool.

Despite its main interior in vanilla being the Haunted Mansion, Dreg's intended interior is Tower from Generic Interiors as per the wheel's request. As such you may find it easier to play through Dreg's interior if you happen to play on its default vanilla interior; Tower tends to generate much bigger than other interiors and so this moon's interior size is quite small to accomodate this quirk.

Although Universal Radar compatability is being worked on, for the time being you may use the radar map I made myself for the moon! I hope it doesn't look too jank, hah!

Dreg has a single fire exit locked behind a fence door that can be opened with a button. There's multiple ways to get to it, but it's up to your way there!

THE WHEEL.

This moon's entire existence was decided by a wheel! How? Well, Generic got a few biomes and categories for things that usually matter the most when making a moon and put them all on different wheels, you would spin these wheels and whatever item it landed on would decide what you would have to incorporate into your moon. Some of these categories were: Biome, Must-haves (general elements that need to be included), Fire exit count and Most common interior.
This was very very useful for me when I began to get interested in moon making, as I already had a few layout and gimmick concepts for moons but most of them were incredibly ambitious for a beginner. I ended up spinning the wheel and ended up getting the following results:

Fire exit count:
1 FIRE EXIT

Main interior:
TOWER

And that's how Dreg's main stats came to be! The button or switch turned into the fence, the water is. well, there and the main interior is Tower if Generic Interiors is installed thanks to the GITW300 tag.

PREVIOUS MOON-MAKING ENDEVORS.

I actually tried my hand at moon making a year ago when I attempted to revive the old version of 7-Dine from a rip of v49 that I had (and still do have) on my computer.

In my endevors I managed to cut the file-size of the moon in half from the version of it that's currently uploaded to Thunderstore, but it broke when I tried to do blank references for it I think.

Sometime in the future I'd love try my hand at it again, we'll see!
