Is your ship so big that your camera is full of ship when you switch to third person? Scroll out!!! Install Thunderstore, install this mod, and free yourself from that default -20 z-offset!
Mouse scroll up to zoom out.
Mouse scroll down to zoom in.
Mouse scroll click to reset the zoom(-20) and camera angle.
Hold down shift while changing the camera angle(alt) to have it stick.
Scroll sensitivity can be changed in the config file.
Zoom setting and camera angle settings are stored in the config file so it will persist between game sessions.
