Install Thunderstore, install this mod, and regain control of that mouse acceleration life for life five life six life!
This fixes the inverted behavior on the 'Use Mouse Acceleration' setting. Also changed the setting default to enabled because everyone probably got used to the default mouse acceleration behavior by now.
