MimicVoiceFix

A MelonLoader mod for MIMESIS that removes all voice effect filters from the Mimic character, making it sound like a real person instead of using artificial voice effects.

Installation

1. Ensure MelonLoader is installed for MIMESIS
2. Place the compiled MimicVoiceFix.dll in the Mods/MimicVoiceFix/ folder
3. Launch MIMESIS - MelonLoader will automatically load the mod
4. Check the MelonLoader console for the "MimicVoiceFix loaded!" message

Building from Source

Prerequisites

• Visual Studio 2022 (or later) with C# support, OR
• .NET SDK 6.0+

Build Steps

cd Mods/MimicVoiceFix/
dotnet build MimicVoiceFix.csproj

The compiled DLL will be automatically placed in the Mods/MimicVoiceFix/ folder.

How It Works

This mod uses Harmony patching to intercept the VoiceEffectPreset.ApplyFilters() method and disable all audio filters immediately after they're applied. This ensures the Mimic character speaks with a natural, unfiltered voice.

Troubleshooting

Mod doesn't load?

• Verify MelonLoader is installed and working
• Check that the DLL is in the correct Mods/MimicVoiceFix/ folder
• Check MelonLoader console output for error messages

Build fails?

• Ensure Assembly-CSharp.dll and other required DLLs exist in MIMESIS_Data\Managed\
• Verify .NET SDK 6.0+ is installed
