Scoutmasters Rampage

Unleashes the relentless Scoutmaster to stalk and hunt players without the need to abandon their friends or use a Scoutmasters Bugle. Constantly run in terror only finding safety at campfires and escaping from the top of the Kiln! Noone is safe unless they are fast or have coconuts to bonk the scoutmaster with!

Features

  • 🕒 Timed Spawn: Scoutmaster spawns after a configurable delay (default: 5 minutes).
  • 🔥 Campfire Delay Triggers: Lighting new campfires causes him to flee and then return after increasing delays.
  • 🎯 Lowest Player Targeting: Prioritizes the player furthest behind in progression (lowest Y position).
  • 💀 Kills with Consequences: Killing or grabbing players triggers flee behavior and delayed respawns.
  • 🧠 Evasive Behavior Detection: Scoutmaster retreats when evading too long or unable to find targets.
  • 🛑 Manual Controls: Manually spawn or force the Scoutmaster to flee with keybinds (default: F9 to spawn, F8 to flee).
  • ⚙️ Fully Configurable: Customize all timers and keys via BepInEx config file.

Configuration

After running the game once with the mod, a config file will be generated at:

Config Options

FleeKey F8 Key to manually trigger Scoutmaster flee

Installation

  1. Download the .zip from Thunderstore or GitHub.
  2. Extract it into your BepInEx/plugins/ folder.
  3. Launch the game. The mod auto-generates a config file.
  4. Edit the config file if desired and relaunch the game.

Known Issues

  • Only the Master Client can spawn the Scoutmaster in multiplayer.

  • Scoutmaster may behave oddly if spawned in invalid zones (e.g. low Y-values).

  • Scoutmaster sometimes gets stuck in a loop where he doesnt toss the player and just swings them around, if this is detected he will automatically vanish, dropping the player and then respawning later.

  • This mod does not use Harmony, ensuring full compatibility with most other mods. (GrabLoopRespawnDelay)
