How To Play

• Enemies are disabled by default with PropHunt installed.
• One player becomes the Hunter. Everyone else becomes a Hider.
• Hiders look at any Valuable and press V to disguise as it.
• Press V again to clear your disguise.
• Press C to toggle first-person or third-person disguise view.
• Press X to lock your prop in place. You can still look around, but the visible prop stays still.
• The Hunter gets a handgun with infinite ammo.
• If the Hunter shoots a disguised Hider, that Hider dies.
• Every Hunter shot costs the Hunter 5 HP, so spamming shots can kill the Hunter.
• If all Hiders die, the Hunter wins.
• If the Hunter dies or time runs out, the Hiders win.
• After each round, the Hunter rotates and a random new level loads.

Round Flow

• Pre-hide: Hiders choose props while the Hunter is locked in place.
• Active round: Hunter searches with the handgun while Hiders stay hidden.
• Round end: Winner banner appears, the next Hunter is chosen, and the next level loads.

• You can change the main settings in your mod manager config:

• Hide time
• Hunter lock time
• Round length
• Hunter gun range
• Hider disguise key
• Hider view key
• Hider position lock key
• Enemy spawn disabling
• Valuable spawn boosting

Compatibility

ALL PLAYERS NEED THE MOD INSTALLED! ONLINE ONLY - YOU NEED OTHERS TO PLAY WITH!

• Prop Hunt is meant to be played by itself but Custom levels and custom valuables are mostly compatible and are the best kind of extra content for Prop Hunt, unless a specific mod conflicts with how Prop Hunt handles levels or valuables.
• Game-altering mods may or may not be compatible, especially mods that change player movement, weapons, health, rounds, level loading, or core networking. Do NOT ask me to fix compat issues, I will not do it.
