This mod transforms your game into a fully functional simulation of installing and using Windows XP.
You literally have to install the R.E.P.O. game from inside the Windows XP installer before you can launch it from your new desktop.
It is a trip down memory lane, with a few cursed twists.
Features
Full OS Simulation
Go through the BIOS boot, setup screens, and finally reach the iconic Bliss wallpaper. Launch the actual game via the R.E.P.O. shortcut on the desktop.
Persistent Progress
Everything you do is saved.
- Once the OS is installed, it stays installed.
- Files you download remain on your desktop.
Want to reset? Simply delete the config file to restart the installation process.
MSN Messenger
Hop online and chat with simulated contacts. They are not intelligent AI, but they have personality. Keep talking to them and they may even send file transfers containing entirely new mini-games for your desktop.
Limewire Simulator
Download "totally safe" files that appear on your desktop.
- These are simulated downloads, not real files on your actual hard drive.
- Some games may be unfinished or broken.
- That is just life in the early 2000s.
MS Paint & Minesweeper
