I am proud to introduce my latest project LR2EB.
Short for Lylat Reloaded 2 Electric Boogaloo.
PREVIEW MODELS ARE NOW AVAILABLE
LR2EB is designed to be a complete visual overhaul of SF 64, featuring models done by Purple Hato (not featured in this WIP preview build). Some textures are borrowed directly from the original Lylat Reloaded, but may or may not be replaced by project's end.
Preview 2 contains a complete overhaul of all menu and text related items, a re-worked HUD, and overhauled arwing. It also includes all skyboxes and sky objects (barring a couple of edge cases). And 100% of the Corneria level textures.
Model preview 1 Contains the following models: Arwing head models for all members of Star Fox, The corridor for the great fox in the introduction scene, The great fox itself, the trees on Corneria as 3D models, and the bomb/laser pickups.
ALL TEXTURES FEATURED IN THIS WIP ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE.
Installation instructions:
Create a folder within the starship game folder called 'mods' without the apostrophes
Download the LR2EB Preview2+models.zip
Extract the files and copy all O2R files in the folder
Paste said o2r files within the mods folder of starship
run the game.
NOTE: For compatibility with the release version this package is *NOT* toggleable. Once alt prepends are available in the main release, there will be a version available that can be toggled on and off.
NOTE 2: IF YOU WISH TO USE THE BETA BOOST GAUGE, YOU WILL NEED TO BE RUNNING A NIGHTLY BUILD AS THE FILE NEEDED IS ONLY ABLE TO BE TOGGLED ON NIGHTLY.
Known issues:
Venom 1's title is incorrectly positioned (This is the fault of the game and I'm not sure how to fix it. The texture is properly positioned and formatted on the image, but is offset in game for some reason.)
Venom 1's skybox has tiling issues that need to be fixed.
Visible seams in planet renders (Unsure how to fix as this is a game issue.)
Corneria sprite in the intro is not replaced due to not respecting the transparency of the atmosphere, will need further tests to figure out what's going wrong.
Rickoon and spyborg are missing portraits. (Spyborg is work in progress, but rickoon will take an extensive amount of work to make a zero styled portrait, and I'm unsure how to go about this.)
Venom renders' colours are inconsistent and need to be fixed.
Mission Accomplished/Complete text is being rendered under the background
Known issues for the model preview:
Fox's expert head is missing
Clipping is visible in the hallway
The great fox does not have a damage model, and will swap to the low poly version if hit by a missile in sector
Due to interpolation being CPU intensive, the trees on corneria can cause MASSIVE performance hits! If you experience issues with performance, please delete ast_corneria.o2r from your mods folder to restore performance.
