README
This mod was originally published on my NexusMods page, but someone stole it and uploaded it on Thunderstore under the title "Centipede Lover's Realistic Blood and particles". The stolen mod page has since been removed, and this mod page was uploaded by me, the original author. You can see proof of this here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UzesrYQM6aQ
- Compatibility
This mod replaces Ultrakill's texture bundle, and consequently, the mod will be incompatible with any other mod that replaces vanilla textures. Please report any crashes and incompatibilities, and I will update the mod whenever I'm available.
Alternatively, if you'd like to update the mod yourself, the mod's textures are available in the "Downloads" section. If you'd like to utilize my mod for your own mod, please credit me.
- Install
1. (Optional) First, I recommend that you back up your 'textures.bundle' file located in:
ULTRAKILL\ULTRAKILL_Data\StreamingAssets\aa\StandaloneWindows64\assets_assets_assets
2. Move the modified 'ULTRAKILL_Data' folder into your root installation directory (contains ULTRAKILL.exe).
(Optional) Alternatively, you could take the modified 'textures.bundle' file inside the .zip and put it into:
ULTRAKILL\ULTRAKILL_Data\StreamingAssets\aa\StandaloneWindows64\assets_assets_assets
3. Open Ultrakill. Inside the game's graphics settings, scroll all the way down and set 'Bloodstain Chance' to 60-100%. (I recommend 100% for style, OR 60% for realism)
- Uninstall
Verifying the integrity of your game files or updating your game will automatically revert the changes made by this mod. Basically, it will uninstall itself.
Alternatively, you can manually uninstall the mod by replacing the modified 'textures.bundle' file with the vanilla 'textures.bundle' file. (If you backed up your vanilla 'textures.bundle' file, use that. If you did not, try using the vanilla file for your game's version in the 'Miscellaneous Downloads' section.)
