Mist Braziers

Functionality

The braziers feature enables players to send recipe items to spawners from a larger chest inventory. By labelling a chest brazier, that chest will feed any mist braziers on the territory, allowing players to keep their braziers stocked appropriately from one location. You can have several chests labelled brazier if you wish, they will all feed into any mist braziers on the territory. Further more, naming a brazier solar will make it so those braziers automatically turn off and on with the day/night schedule. If you really crave efficiency, they you can name a brazier prox and it will only turn on during the day when it detects an allied player nearby. The mod checks a territory about every 5 seconds, so expect that delay. For proximity braziers, the growth speed of the mist is 30x faster than normal (.5 sec instead of 15 seconds).

Command Activation

To use the mist brazier feature, the player must ensure the command is enabled:

  • Command: .logistics brazier
  • Shortcut: .l bz

To use the Solar/Prox features, the global command must be enabled (player control is done through the naming process):

  • Command: .logistics solar
  • Shortcut: .logistics sol

How to use the Brazier and Solar Features

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Enable Braziers: Enter the command to activate the feature, or ensure it is enabled:

    .logistics brazier

  2. Label the Chest: Mark a chest with the name brazier.

  3. Automatic Feeding: Fuel items in the chest will automatically be sent to any mist brazier within the territory.

  4. Per Brazier Options: For solar activated braziers that will stay on all of day and turn off at night, name the brazier solar. For proximity detecting braziers that will activate only during the day and when an allied player is near, name the brazier prox. For normal manual brazier behavior that allows manual toggle decisions, do not name the brazier, or have it be any name that doesn't include solar or prox.

Important Considerations

  • Naming: A chest on the territory must contain the word brazier in order to feed into the spawners.
  • Territory Ownership: As with most of the features, the actual owner of the territory's settings will determine whether brazier feeding is possible. Clan mate association is not enough.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Make sure that your labelled chests have inventory within them.
  • Solar Braziers:
    • They will always turn off and on during night/day, no matter if there are online players. This is intentional, to allow for community gardens to be useable by non-allied players while still allowing some efficiency.
  • Proximity Range/Timing: The territory will check for updates about every 5 seconds or so, so that is the reaction time. The distance it looks for on braziers is 20 coordinate points, or about 4 foundation tiles worth of distance. It will only activate for those within the same clan or the owner.
