Overview

BalroncCharacterCustomization is a client-side mod that overhauls Valheim’s character customization experience. It expands the player creation screen and barber UI to allow more in-depth character editing options, including custom RGB color pickers, new hairstyles, and body height adjustments.

⚠️ This mod must be installed by all participants in a session to avoid feature degradation or data resets.

⚠️ This mod is in Beta state there might be issues with it(mostly in dedicated) if you find anything please provide me as much info as you can so i can improve it.

• 🔧 New Character Edit button on character select screen
• 🧑‍🎨 Redesigned Edit Character screen

• ✂️ 10 New Hairstyles added

🧑‍🔧 Character Creation/Edit Enhancements

• ✅ Female characters can now have beards
• ❌ Vanilla hair color sliders removed
• 🎨 Added RGB sliders for:
  • Hair color
  • Eye color
• 📏 Added slider to modify character height

💈 Barber Station Changes

• ✅ Female characters can now have beards
• 🎨 RGB sliders added for:
  • Hair color
  • Eye color
• 🧴 Skin color customization enabled
• 📏 Character height slider included
• ❌ Vanilla hair color sliders disabled

📌 Compatibility & Usage Notes

• ⚠️ All players must install this mod to see and retain custom features.
• 💾 The mod is client-side, but:
  • If a player doesn't have the mod installed:
    • Custom hair is removed
    • Eye color reverts to default
    • Height resets to default
    • Hair/beard remain only until visiting the Barber again

📂 Installation

Install this mod via your preferred mod manager or manually place it in your BepInEx/plugins folder.

For full functionality, ensure all players in a multiplayer session have this mod installed.

🛠 Troubleshooting

If you see your customizations disappearing:

• Ensure all session members have the mod
• Avoid using the Barber station without the mod enabled
