⚔️ Welcome to Ascendant Armory 🗡️


📘 MOD INFORMATION 📘


Welcome to Ascendant Armory, my greatest work yet, and a mod I am most proud of, here is a brief explanation of the mod and its features.

  • Ascendant Armory features 1 weapon of each weapon type currently existing within Valheim, Sword, Spear, Axe, Club, Knife, Polearm, Fist, Staff, Bow, and Crossbow.
  • Each of these weapons are crafted out of a unique item that has a 20% drop chance from the first boss, Eikthyr, fully configurable of course.
  • These weapons will upgrade throughout each biome, utilizing materials and boss trophies from each biome to advance, getting stronger alongside the player.
  • Upon defeating Yagluth, he will drop a special material used to craft a weapon counterpart, these will give special set bonuses and adrenaline effects to pair with their respective weapons, greatly boosting their capabilities.
  • After reaching the Ashlands, (and Deep north eventually) using materials from these biomes, you will be able to forge your weapon anew, into its true form.
  • The final form of these weapons are made to be the pinnacle of Valheim weaponry, they are made to be very strong, but not so strong that it trivializes the game, everything is balanced after all.
  • In total, with their counterparts, you will receive an equip effect, set bonus, adrenaline effect, parry effect, and damaging status effect when the weapons unlock their full potential, excluding the bow and crossbow, which have their own gimmicks.

Funny enough, my main inspiration for this mod was actually from an old Baldur's Gate 3 mod called progressive weapons.

  • IMPORTANT: IF YOU WISH TO RECEIVE NEW STAT CHANGES AND FIXES, OR IF SOMETHING HAS AN INCORRECT CRAFTING STATION, DELETE THE OLD CONFIG, IT WILL FIX MOST SIMPLE ISSUES I HAVE ALREADY FIXED

As always, you are not permitted to use anything in this mod as monetary rewards on servers, whether for donations or outright bought without my explicit permission.

The vast majority of the weapon models used for the ascended weapon versions in this mod are my own custom creations and texture work, so I ask that you respect my hard work.

When it comes to using anything in this mod as a unique server item, or special reward, or anything of that nature, it is completely ok, as long as real life money is not involved.

You do not have permission to monetize the weapons in this mod in any way shape or form, nor the items used to craft them

📘 Future Update Plans and/or Potential Ideas. 📘


I want to improve this mod as much as I possibly can, so many things may be subject to change over time

  • More arrows and bolts that do unique things in order to give Nyphrion and Ravalon more options for ammunition that do unique things.
  • Attempt to create locations for the unique crafting items so that getting them adds more immersion and uniqueness, especially in multiplayer. Will only do this if I can make it togglable on or off.
  • Definitely want to try and make a custom crafting altar, prolly won't be anything tooooo crazy (I lie).

- Removed duplicated Znetviews from block effects that would occasionally throw errors, let me know through dm or discord if you see any of these, I tend to miss them lol. (as a side note, they do not affect performance whatsoever)

- Made the crystals on Prisvallia cleaner
- Adjusted the eitr charge up cost for Prisvallia because I forgot to before.
- Prisvallia laser reduced crystal spawn chance to 25%
- Adjusted the balance of some debuff status effects applied to enemies, and made them a bit more interesting, also to reduce description length
- Made 3rd tier ravalon ammo no longer need charred cogwheels, they now use proustite powder instead.

- reverted previous two handed changes, I shouldnt force how people want to play, if you wish to dual wield them in earlygame however, do not expect a balanced experience.
- made some changes to the basic attack for Illuminant Prisvallia, I felt that it was a bit too obtrusive, the new attack is much cleaner and more versatile.
  The basic attack is now a charge up laser, it fires 3 lasers, at a 50% damage modifier, so all 3 hits is a 1.5x damage multiplier, on hit, each laser has a 50% chance to spawn a destructible crystal. 
  Improvements to the emissives on the staff as well.
  Secondary eitr cost increased, and damage increased, It now spawns a rainbow field that deals repeated elemental damage.
  The DOT is now a rainbow flame effect instead of rainbow sparks, this makes it more obvious to tell when you've made an enemy vulnerable
- New ammunitions, one for Ravalon and one for Nyphrion
  The new gunbolt, demolition bolt, is designed for destroying trees and rocks, giving more utility to the weapon as a whole. Crafted at the Forge
  The new arrow, shattershot arrow, is designed as an alternate to the endgame aoe arrow, for those that want tighter and higher damage, and less aoe. Crafted at the Blackforge.

- adjusted some adrenaline gain values for blocking and parrying on certain trinkets that were too high
- Excevior is now a 3 piece set bonus with a trinket cape, dagger, and defender, the defender can now be crafted as soon as the black forest, and scales up to mistlands along with excevior.
- Ziralux cape is now a trinket and appropriately goes into the trinket slot.
- Made it so that QuelTalia, Mavanhar, and Ignavius, act as two handed weapons despite being one handed, to prevent getting the set bonus via dual wielding, it was not intended for you to be able to get it pre mistlands since it is way too strong earlygame.

- adjusted the base volume for all weapon effects down to 80% 
- deleted some duplicated znetview parts in excevior, seravi, and ravalons DOT effects that were causing log spam errors.
- for some reason prisvallia was missing a shader on its adrenaline effect, this is now fixed as well.

- Detailed weapon adjustments/balancing:
  Rageborn Hastiel seconadary triple spear throw damage slightly reduced from a 1.5x damage modifier per spear down to a 1x modifier, projectile spread is very slightly tigher as well, also it now has a 10% chance on its basic attack to deal an extra 100 pierce, and 50 slash in a radius of 2.5 with a special effect.
  Infernal Ignavius secondary stamina cost 70 to 100
  Fearborn Mavanhar secondary stamina cost 70 to 80, also reduced its secondary aoe damage from 10 slash/pierce and 15 lightning, down to 5 slash/pierce, keeping the 15 lightning.
  Penumbral Excevior secondary stamina cost 75 to 60, also increased backstab bonus from 6 to 7, also reduced attack force of secondary from 50 to 25
  Illuminant Prisvallia secondary eitr cost 100 to 75
  Deific Seravi secondary inner projectile damage reduced from 125 slash/pierce and 100 spirit, down to 100 slash/pierce, and 75 spirit. However, the base damage modifier for the initial slashes is now at a 2.5x modifier instead of a 2x modifier.
  Effulgent Ziralux secondary stamina cost 70 to 85, also slightly reduced the damage of extra lightning strikes from 25 Pierce/Lighting to 20 of each instead.
  Awakened Quel Talia secondary stamina from 50 to 75, also increased secondary aoe size from 3.5 to 4
  Windblessed Nyphrion 3rd tier arrows aoe tick rate from 0.5s to 1s, also reduced the aoe uptime from 15s to 10s, also adjusted its damage from 5 blunt/slash/pierce and 30 poison to 10 pierce and 30 poison..

- I forgot to rotate base Nyphrion's bowstring along with it when I made it fit the player hand, so it was slightly(alot) off. Its now fixed
- Adjusted Stamina and Draw times for Nyphrion that I missed when setting up weapon stats.
- Also added the special firing sound effect to base Nyphrion, it should have had it before, I just forgot to add it and didnt notice til now.

- adjusted a few stagger values to be more balanced in earlygame 
- made progression skips by having the weapons craft with their special item and eikthyrs trophy, mainly for servers that place the items in the world and have them disabled from dropping.
- adjusted the sound volume of most of the adrenaline effects to be 80% of vanilla sfx (20% quieter), as a note, these utilize the sound effects slider, not the music or ambience.
