5.3.0 - Immersion Update

Preamble

Hopefully I did not miss out on anything. This was a rough patch since it was planned with seasons from shudnal but the mod costs too much performance. Let me know if any irregularities and I will fix them asap.

Seasonality

I decided to give Valheim more depth while also maintaining some sense of intention behind it. I am bringing in Seasonality to increase variety of gameplay adjustments. The goal behind this is to force players taking decisions depending on the season. Prepare for the winter as it lasts the longest!

Cooking rework

I wanted to give the cooking system more depth. Therefore I added TheSpiceOfLife to increase variety of cooked food and with that the cooking skill which will increase your food the higher level your cooking skill is.

Skills

Added 5 new classes(Sailor, Farmer, Blacksmith, Cook, Rancher). With that I want to encourage the RPG aspect of the game. Each class increases Skill gain for the certain skill and decrease skill gain for all other new classes. With that you will be able to choose 2 classes(+1 additinal for all those math pros).

  • Stamina settings adjusted.No random boosts on different surfaces,Paved roads will provide higher movementspeed, Snow will slow you down and cost more stamina. Overall want to make riding more profitable.

DeepNorth

I was just waiting for Therzie to release his DeepNorth content. With that I decided to add some more weapons from Warfare.

Balrond shipyard

I decided to remove all custom pieces added by Shipyard as I do not want worlds to look different when you launch without mods. Also I only really enjoy boat Holk but the other one is quite really fitting vanilla style.

Preamble

PLEASE MAKE SURE TO SECURE ALL OF THE JEWELS IN YOUR EQUIPMENT BEFORE UPDATING! PLEASE MAKE SURE TO WITHDRAW ALL OF YOUR TROPHIES FROM BANKER BEFORE UPDATING! DELETE ALL LANTERNS AS THEY HAVE NO PURPOSE ANYMORE.

Soulcatcher

I did not really like how you grind for souls and soul upgrades. Therefore I decided to completly rework the system. Base gem can be obtained through quests from marketplace. Further Upgrades of souls require surtlingcores/blackcores and monstertrophies. You will only need 1 gem to craft the next stage instead of 3. All pieces from soulcatcher were removed.

Jewelcrafting

I decided to switch back to GemDrops Lootsystem as Gembox tend to clutter the inventory. Also I reduced Sockets to 4. 7 Sockets just clutter the tooltip too much and with 4 you have to take a decision and not just put everthing into your equipment.

Building

As I want to enable more creativity in valheim building, I added Gizmos to rotate stuff via all axis. In addition I disabled Structural Integrity since I think it is just a tidious task to always check for integrity. Minecraft also doesn't have such a system. It will make it easier for newcomers and allow for more options.

3.1.0 - Skill system rework

Skills

The recent addition of FortifySkillsRedux combined with smartskills made it fairly easy to level up all weapon skills. This update adds "classes" which limit the skills you can level up at the same time. Each class has its own skill type/playstyle. Progression for skills for your class will be the same as before. You also do not lose the progress you did in one skill when you change class.

3.0.0 - Therzie Extension

Equipment

Vanilla armory system feels a little linear and predictable. With the Therzie extension I hope to get some more depth and variance into the crafting system. The Therzie SetEffects should also make the stamina management a little more well rounded. Dual wield was removed as it does not really fit the endgame dual weapons. Therzie dual weapons are filling that weapon gap. No other weapons were added from Therzie Warfare. It is mostly just a dependency.

UI

As I realized that BetterUI hides some stats in the tooltip of items, I decided to remove the mod completly and swap it out with shudnals MyLittleUI. It combines all other mods that were removed. Configs for the removed mods will be kept in the modpack for some patches so you can still easily swap out the mods for your liking.

Building

OdinsKingdom was removed as it does not really match the vanilla building system.
