11) Overview: What's it about? And what does the Modpack contain?
Updated 2 months agoThis modpack offers you a completely different Valheim.
Balrond's Mods
- 200+ new vegetation items (and yes, the biomes sometimes look different)
- 300+ new items (tools, resources, food, ammunition, seeds, belts, junk)
- 100+ new building components
- 150+ building components with different materials – stone, clay, black marble, etc.
- 85+ new furniture and other decorative items – for added comfort!
- 20+ new plants
- 100+ pretty world decorations, e.g. seaweed
- 20+ new monsters
- 60+ new spawns for vanilla monsters
- 150+ new weapons/armor. Complete armor sets and replacements for vanilla variants
- More hairstyles, hair colors, eye colors, player size changes
- New raids
- Familiar enemies may fight with different tactics, use new AI, new boss fights, possibly changed boss summons
- New workbench systems – the Construction Bench, Shaman Table, Ironworks, Runeforge
- More extensions for the workbenches
- New recipes, modified recipes – oh, and there's a grill :)
- A press – for pressing juice and similar things.
- Resin collectors for Yggdrasil roots
- Changed food states
- Changed rest states
- Enemies have up to 3 stars
- Enemies have an additional enchantment for each star - additional elemental damage, immunities, ...
- More “locations” - i.e. small finished structures in the world - the world is expanded
- An additional dungeon type in the Dark Forest and one in the Swamp
- Dungeons such as burial chambers can still appear even in the Ashlands or the far north
- Bosses have several possible locations for their altars, just like in Vanilla. But as with Haldor, the first place you visit will cause the others to disappear
- More merchants. They don't sell much, but hey – at least they're merchants with a protective dome!
- There is a new small cargo ship – and the other ships have extensions that you can build for them. And the raft has a small storage space :)
- Each player has their own progress. If you haven't killed the Ancient One, you can't wield an iron sword.
- Portals can be used conveniently without a specific counter-portal – just enter a portal and select the destination on the map
- Oh yes, we have a far north :-D
Quality of Life
- You can tinker and cook from the containers in the area
- If you want to build, you should also be able to rotate things
- Boxes for one item type each. They can hold a lot and display it
- You can conveniently pack items into boxes in the surrounding area at the touch of a button – see Wiki.
- Transmogging. You may be familiar with this from World of Warcraft – if you have a piece of armor or a weapon that you like, but you urgently need to upgrade to another piece, you can customize the appearance here. Or hide pieces of armor so that your green hair stands out better.
Jewelcrafting
Jewelcrafting is also included as a relaxing expansion – it allows you to collect gems, cut them, and then socket them into equipment. This will eventually be replaced by alchemy and rune skills once they are ready.
