13) Quality of Life - QOL
Updated 2 months agoThe following features are designed to improve your quality of life:
- Crafting and cooking without having to hold everything in your hand. Containers are automatically used around them. ATTENTION - when barbecuing, if your inventory is empty, items from the nearest box will simply be used
- Groups - you can form groups. This has the advantage that you can see each other in different colors on the map, and players are displayed with health bars (as seen in WoW) - this is especially great for streamers who play with other people. You can invite others via chat: Type /invite Bananenbrot to invite your fellow player Bananenbrot (if you have a console, you can also use invite - autocomplete possible).
- Automatic repair at the workbench
- With the right materials, you can eventually build a repair station - here you can repair anything, no matter which workbench it comes from.
- The workbench also works without a roof. No more annoying roofs just because you want to wear a loincloth
- Area repairs – you can simply repair one component and repair everything within reach. The order is <technical blah blah> – you cannot influence this
- The workbench and co. have sorting fields – they usually provide useful information
- Workbenches and co. have a search field at the bottom - you can search for things here. E.g. “keu” for club
- You can build several items at once on workbenches and co. - e.g. 5 times the 20 arrows or 30 carrot soups
- There are a few extra components, ho ho ho
- Eternalfire - fires burn forever. No more annoying refilling
- Chests and similar containers can be used by several people at the same time
- Chests and similar containers display their contents (can be turned on and off with h)
- Chests and similar containers can be sorted. Just open them and click on the “sort” button in the top right corner
- There is an approximate time of day in the top right corner - sundials are pretty - this is practical
- Below the minimap you can see the weather and wind forecast. This makes life at sea a little more... future-oriented
- You have more options in the character screen - for example, women can also have beards - or you can dye your hair blue?
- You are automatically visible on the map, no need to switch it on separately.
- Do you die often? Don't worry, you'll regain your old skills faster after death than in Vanilla.
- Target portal – you enter a portal and can then click on the map to select the destination portal you want to go to. You'll never have to have two portals with the same name again, and you won't need huge portal hubs anymore. Tip: Give your portal a name – it will then be displayed on the selection map. By default, portals are “public” – visible and accessible to everyone. You can change this by pressing the left Shift key + E. The following modes are available: Public, Owner, Group (see above), Admin (only for admins, presumably only selectable by admins).
