This mod requires the following mods to function
denikson-BepInExPack_Valheim
BepInEx pack for Valheim. Preconfigured and includes unstripped Unity DLLs.
Preferred version: 5.4.2202README
The Stations Custom Ranges mod enhances Valheim by:
-
Crafting station base range: Most items you can build using your hammer requires a source station, which could be the workbench, forge, stonecutter, so on and so forth. These stations have ranges, which means that you must be inside of it to be able to place the itens that require them as sources, otherwise you must build another station closer to where you want to build. This mod increases that range for all stations that are sources for any item, so you don't need to build multiple instances of the same station to be able to build around your place.
-
Crafting station range per upgrade: In Valheim, some crafting stations gain more range for every upgrade affecting them. This mod increased the range per level for all stations that have upgrades.
-
Upgrades maximum build distance: When you are building an upgrade for a crafting station, you must build it very close to that station, otherwise the upgrade will do nothing, this behavior makes it harder to decorate your place the way you want. This mod increases the maximum range at which you can build upgrades and still affect their respective stations.
-
You can also configure all of these values to further customize your experience.
Instalation:
- This mod requires BepInExPack Valheim
- Extract the LzD_StationsCustomRanges.dll into the BepInEx plugins folder. After you are done, the folders should look like this: BepInEx / plugins / LzD_StationsCustomRanges.dll
Usage: After installing the mod, you don't need to do anything else (unless you want to customize some values, see below), will you already be able to: Build things further away from source crafting stations. Build upgrades further from their respective stations.
Observation: Keep in mind that for this mod to apply, stations must "exist in memory" at the current time. That's relevant because when you go very far from things in this game, they are destroyed to save computer resources and them built back when you get close to them again. Knowing that, it's clear to see that you can't have infinite ranges.
Configuration: This mods allow you to configure it's behavior. To to that, I recomend using Enhanced BepInEx Configuration Manager. But you can also do it manually by editing the file created in "Valheim/BepInEx/config. If you want to do it manually, keep in mind that the file is created when you first launch the game after installing the mod. In this mod configuration, you can: Enable / disable the mod completely; Enable / disable logs; Enable / disable specific features; Prevent the mod to apply to specific crafting stations; Configure values globally, so you can quickly define values that apply to every crafting station (this option overrides specific values); Configure values for each crafting station, so you can have a deeper level of customization (this is the default behavior); Configure values for the maximum build range for crafting station upgrades;
