Version 1.0.5 should resolve any remaining issues with compass images. Prior to 1.0.3 HUD Compass was using embedded images, which is why some users couldn't customize the compass. Version 1.0.4 switched over to external images, but unfortunately was looking for them in a "Resources" folder, which R2Modman does not create during installation. Version 1.0.5 moves the images to the mod root folder (with the .dll), and adds a toggle to use either the embedded images or the external images. Just make sure if you do customize, to save copies of your images, since they'll be overwritten by new releases.
