Vikings Summoner

Vikings Summoner is a necromancy-themed mod. It adds a complete set of weapons, summoning totems, and armor for each biome, all inspired by rituals and necromantic arts.

Features

  • Weapons Cursed staves and dark equipment that consume eitr and life, each one tied to the sinister power of a specific biome.

  • Summoning Totems Ritual artifacts that allow you to summon skeletons, draugrs and corrupted entities to fight alongside the necromancer.

  • Summons Voice Customization Customizable idle voice system for summoned creatures, allowing players to choose between localized voices or the game’s default audio.

  • Armor Sets Unique sets for each biome, with grim names and descriptions, reinforcing the necromancer fantasy and providing a clear sense of progression.

  • Necromancy Table A special crafting station where all content can be created and upgraded, with extra improvements through books, essences, altars and more.

  • Necromantic Food Foods focused on eitr and health regeneration, designed to sustain prolonged battles and summoning rituals.

  • Tome Slot
    Dedicated slot for equipping grimoires (requires AzuExtendedPlayerInventory).

Progression

The mod was designed to create a coherent progression:
each biome unlocks new challenges and rewards, reinforcing the fantasy of evolving as a necromancer in pursuit of forbidden power.

More than just items, Vikings Summoner brings dark immersion, atmosphere and a unique identity to the server experience.

Installation (manual)

  • Place Vikings_Summoner.dll inside your BepInEx\plugins\ folder.

1.2.8 Refactored the Tome slot to use explicit API methods and added a whitelist of compatible prefabs.
1.2.7 Visual and sound effects were improved when summoning creatures.

The summon lifetime counter was updated to a global system, preventing summons from freezing when leaving the scene.

1.2.5 Renamed the custom slot to Tome to ensure compatibility with the AzuExtendedPlayerInventory (EPI) API and other mods, as requested by Azumatt. Requires deleting the existing CFG file to generate a new.
1.2.4 Fixed the staff effects in Ashlands.

1.2.2 Fixed translation for summoned mob names. Works at runtime (for newly summoned creatures).
1.2.1 Added localized idle voice sounds for summoned creatures starting from the Black Forest biome.
Added an option to disable the idle voice system and use the vanilla audio.
Idle voice settings are now Not Synced with Server, allowing local player customization.
The existing CFG file must be removed to generate a new one with the updated options.
1.2.0 Performance and stability improvements. Reduced micro-stutters, making the game smoother, especially when multiple summons are active. Thanks to @rich4rd7897 for reporting the issue and helping with testing.
Added localized idle voice sounds for summoned creatures (EN / PT-BR, server-synced). Initially applied to three summons that already had PT-BR voice lines; support for all summons will be expanded later. Language selection is configurable via CFG.
I am still investigating an issue where the summon names are not being translated.
1.1.9 The Grimoire slot integration was changed from a hard dependency to a soft dependency. The mod now runs normally without AzuExtendedPlayerInventory installed, simply disabling the extra slot when it is not present.
1.1.8 Reduced base health of all summons by 50%. Added an exclusive slot for Grimoires, requiring AzuExtendedPlayerInventory. Added three Grimoires to the system: Draugrbók, Morthbók, and Eldrún.
1.1.7 Added six foods focused on eitr.
