Description

Valheim Character Backup (Valheim World Backup)

This is a simple plugin that backs up the characters folder every 5 mins.

It runs with the game so all you have to do is install the mod, set your config and you are good to go everytime the game is launched.

This mod requires BepInEx (https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/115)

Configuration

Thunderstore info

You should be able to change the config in your Thunderstore Mod Manager's Config Editor for "jdodger415.ValheimCharacterBackup"

If you want to find the actual config file, it's under "%appdata%\Thunderstore Mod Manager\DataFolder\Valheim\profiles\(modprofile)\BepInEx\config\jdodger415.ValheimCharacterBackup.cfg"

Author's original info

The backup interval can be configured in the included config file. (config can be found in PATH_TO_GAME\BepInEx\config\jdodger415.ValheimCharacterBackup.cfg)

You can also enable backing up of the worlds folder if you would like.

Backup Location

Backups are saved to %appdata%\..\LocalLow\IronGate\Valheim\characters.bak or worlds.bak in their own folder with the timestamp the backup was created.

Version 1.3.4 on Thunderstore is just version 1.3.1 of this mod with updated info and formatting on this page. (I'm new to this)
