Automatically manages your charcoal kilns and smelters in Valheim!

Features

• Charcoal Kiln Automation:

  • Automatically transfers wood from nearby chests to charcoal kilns
  • Automatically transfers finished coal from kilns to nearby chests

• Smelter Automation:

  • Automatically transfers coal from nearby chests to smelters (fuel)
  • Automatically transfers ore from nearby chests to smelters
  • Automatically transfers finished ingots from smelters to nearby chests

Installation

1. Install BepInEx
2. Install Jotunn (optional, but recommended)
3. Download and extract this mod to your Valheim\BepInEx\plugins\ folder
4. Launch the game

Configuration

Edit BepInEx\config\com.autosmelter.valheim.cfg to customize:

• ChestRange (default: 10.0) - Maximum distance in meters to search for chests
• UpdateInterval (default: 2.0) - Seconds between automation checks
• EnableKilnAutomation (default: true) - Enable/disable charcoal kiln automation
• EnableSmelterAutomation (default: true) - Enable/disable smelter automation

How It Works

The mod runs an update loop every few seconds (configurable) that:

1. Finds all charcoal kilns and smelters in the world
2. For each structure:
   • Checks if it needs fuel/input materials
   • Finds the nearest chest with the required materials
   • Transfers materials automatically
   • Removes finished products and places them in nearby chests

Requirements

• BepInEx 5.4.21 or higher
• Jotunn 2.20.0 or higher (optional, soft dependency)
• Valheim (any version)

Compatibility

• Client-side mod - Each player needs to install it
• Works in single-player and multiplayer
• Compatible with other automation mods
