General Info

RtDMMO is a unique playthrough that offers eight additional biomes to explore. Each biome has unique loot, monsters, dungeons, weapons, and armor. The ocean has been turned into a fully living biome with its own loot, monsters, and a boss. RtDMMO uses AlmanacClassSystem for the class system. The foundation of the modpack is built mostly from RtDMods and Jere's Expand World Magic. This project has been in development for about two years and is highly polished for release.

The Deep North includes loot, gear, monsters, and a boss, but it is currently the only biome without a dungeon. It has been structured so that when Iron Gate officially releases the biome, balancing it will be much easier.

Biomes

For every vanilla biome, there is now a corrupted version. These no longer follow the “cursed” naming theme but still provide their own atmosphere. Each corrupted biome features unique weather, monsters, vegetation, loot, dungeons, gear, and more.

Effectively, the game world has been doubled in size.

⚠️ Beware the Ocean. It is treacherous: some monsters can harpoon you and pull you under. Be careful how far you sail in the early game.

There are also Wandering Murlocs—very strong enemies with poor vision and hearing. Running away is usually the best option.

At night, zombies roam the vanilla biomes. In corrupted biomes, however, you’ll encounter swarms of zombies along with monsters from the next biome. They will often fight together to kill you, so caution is advised.

Progression has been made more linear metals are separated into their respective biomes.

Magic System

  • Magic: Trainable as early as Eikthyr’s Meadows. Consume Spirit Essence until you unlock a cauldron.

  • AOE Spells: All RtD magic wands & staffs have a secondary area-of-effect attack.

Metals & Resources

  • Magic: Magic skills can be trained as early as the Eikthy'rs Meadows, simply consume Spirit Essense until you obtain a cauldron.
  • AOE Spells: All RtD Magic wands & staffs have a secondary attack which offers a nice area of effect that will do reasonable damage.
  • Zync: Eikthyr's meadows via dungeons
  • Copper: Eikthyr's Meadows, & BlackForest
  • Gold: Elder Woods via dungeons.
  • Tin: BlackForest, & ElderWoods.
  • Iron: Swamp
  • MoonIron: Bone Rotmire
  • Silver: Mountain, & Frostmourne Peak.
  • Wolfs: Can only be found in Mountains, they don't like dirty places and will not go near the undead in Frostmourne Peak.
  • BlackMetal: Plains, and limited supply in Sirocco Wastes.
  • Netherite: Sirocco Wastes
  • Infested Mines: Can only be found within Mistlands.
  • Felmetal: Can only be found within Gloomveil
  • Flametal and majority of AshLands supplies can only be obtained in AshLands
  • Ancient Metal: Can only be found in South Alfhemir.
  • Frometal: Can only be found in DeepNorth.
  • Arcane Metal: Can only be found in North Alfhemr.

⚠️ Note: Vanilla bosses no longer drop their usual items. You must defeat the new biome’s boss to progress.
