Prologue

Following your victory over the Mistlands' Queen, Avid stirs chaos by summoning corrupted warriors to thwart Valheim's champions. Guardians materialize across the realm, prepared for battle. You now find yourself embroiled in a profound holy war.

Manual Installation

Location Generation Notice

This mod is best to use in a new map to let it spawn locations randomly (Holy Ground, Seal Crystals, and Damon's dungeon). Each of these location will attempt to place a number of them in different areas but others of each kind will disappear when one is discovered. Using this on an old map may or may not spawn these required locations but you may utilize Infinity Hammer mod by JereKuusela to manually spawn them in an area of your choice. Here are the locations prefab names for reference:

  • Holy Ground - Messenger_camp_TG
  • Sealed Crystal 1 - Spawner_ScrollCrystal1_TG
  • Sealed Crystal 2 - Spawner_ScrollCrystal2_TG
  • Sealed Crystla 3 - Spawner_ScrollCrystal3_TG
  • Damon Dungeon - TGDamon_Altar_Cave

Corrupted Warrior
- Changed skin material making it look like a darkened soul plus some more visual updates.
- Set to wield only a battle axe instead of switching from different weapons.
- Removed old attacks
- New attacks:
1) Battleaxe combo
2) 360 axe swing
3) Rage (roots players in fear within range)
4) Ultimate skill: Fiery Bash attack

Corrupted Assassin
- Changed skin material making it look like a darkened soul plus some more visual updates.
- Wields a darkened version of draugr bow and a dagger depending on the attack (dual wields dagger with the bow)
- Removed old attacks
- New attacks:
1) Single bow shots
2) Roundhouse and front kick combo
3) Flying kick (pushes target further)
4) Ultimate skill: Three quick shots (roots target when hit)

Corrupted Battlemage
- Changed skin material making it look like a darkened soul plus some more visual updates.
- Wields Yagluth's dark spirit as its power source on left hand. Right hand wields changing elements based on attack.
- Removed old attacks.
- New attacks:
1) Fireball (throws and fireball and explodes on impact)
2) Frost Nova (close range magic attack the freezes all targets within radius)
3) Dark push (quickly pushes the target in close range)
4) Ultimate skill: Dark Soul Debuff (uses Yagluth's spirit to cast a spell that reduces movement speed, attack (physical and elemental) and fire/ice defenses of target within range)

Future Updates
- Basar, Gurav, Kreas, and Damon upgrades.
- New quest mechanics in obtaining the lost scrolls.
- New usable items to summon aid during battle with the Tier 2 bosses.
- Heavenly capes, scrolls, and fruit of Spirit items are removed. Heavenly capes will return on future updates.
v1.2.2 - Changed spawn data of Corrupted Warrior, Assassin and Mage. They no longer spawn on locations but instead on their respective biomes. (Warrior in the Swamp, Assassin on the Mountains, and Mage in the Plains)
- Updated Scroll pages 1, 2 and 3 content regarding the corrupted Vikings spawns.
v1.2.1 - Rebalanced NPC creatures HP, damage resistance and weaknesses, and attack values to match Vanilla
- Set Basar and Damon shockwave attack interval to 30 seconds from none.

Location Updates
- Upgraded locations' exterior.
- Changed crystal locations to dungeons.
- Each dungeon requires a Dverger key to open similar to the Queen dungeon.
- Corrupted Viking T2 should be now summoned through the altar inside the dungeon using corrupted seeds.

Weapon Updates
- Changed Sword of Truth attack damage and effects. This weapons is now block and spirit damage focused. Intended to use against corrupted Vikings. Secondary attack no longer summoned spirit bombs. Durability is set to normal.
- Disabled Holy Staff from crafting for now but can be spawned. Changed magic to healing. Unarmed secondary attack. Durability is set to normal.
- Removed incomplete versions of the Sword of Truth and Holy Staff.

Spawn Updates
- Light Warriors and Avid will now spawn only in the Mistlands, Ashlands, and DeepNorth biomes.
- Lightning Warrior will also spawn in Damon's cave after defeating Damon's henchmen.

Holy Altar Furniture
- Requires all four scrolls and some marbles to build.
- Requires wisps to activate.
- Activation will summon Protectors to guard the altar and attack nearby enemies.
- You may also get 1 comfort rested buff when near if activated.

Similar with the other locations, you may use JereKuusela's Upgrade World or Infinity Hammer mods to add this location on an already generated map. Corrupted Vikings will keep on spawning inside the dungeon and will drop corrupted seeds. Use these seeds to summon an random elite corrupted warrior. You may add drops of your choice on the cfg file.
