StatsOverlay
A lightweight in-game overlay that shows handy indicators for the current stage on the local player’s screen. The UI stays subtle (semi-transparent background, readable text) and only appears during a run (not in menus).
Languages
Overlay and admin-panel strings follow the Risk of Rain 2 language: French when the game language is French, English for every other supported language — any language that is not French uses the English text as the fallback.
(Item and equipment names still come from the game’s own localization, as usual.)
What it shows
- Total gold — cumulative gold collected this run by the local player (run stat).
- Chests — chests still available on the stage (including variants the game exposes as interactables).
- Equipment — equipment barrels / equipment points still available.
- Shops — multishop locations that still have at least one usable terminal (counted per shop location, not per individual terminal).
- Robots to repair — broken drones / turrets left to repair on the stage.
Counts follow interactables that are still purchasable / usable (available), consistent with how the game treats them.
Highlight mode (chests and more)
Press F2 during a run to toggle highlight mode. While it’s on, the mod turns highlights on for many stage interactables (chests, shops, unrepaired drones/turrets, unopened barrels, etc.) using a yellow outline so they’re easier to spot. Press F2 again to turn it off.
Installation
Install with r2modman or Thunderstore Mod Manager; the manager will drop the DLL under BepInEx/plugins for your game profile.
Dependencies
Requires BepInEx 5 for Risk of Rain 2 and HookGenPatcher (generates MMHOOK_RoR2) so the MonoMod hooks this plugin uses can load. Install those via your mod manager if they’re not already in your profile.
Notes
- Each client sees their own total-gold value; chest / shop / etc. counts reflect the synced stage state for the session.
- Works in solo and multiplayer; the overlay is entirely local (no extra effect on other players beyond what the game already replicates).
